Basically exactly what the title says, it will only be free for another day or so, though.  Mods, feel free to close this topic if you feel it doesn't need to exist.

I would suggest everyone get this, as Fallout is one of the games we might do for Game Club

Yes indeed. Fallout is the only game worth owning no matter what.

It was an acronym for Good Old Games, until they (recently) changed the name to just GoG.

I suppose there really isn't any reason not to get this deal. We can download and install the game later, after the deal ends, right?

I think so, yeah. Also it's worth noting that GoG doesn't use DRM if you're apprehensive about that.

i like that gog's game come with a bunch of extra and manual, while steam doesn't. also, some game are cheaper.

yeah, the extras are always nice. but the main reason I buy stuff from GOG is the fact all games are pre-patched or pre-configured to work with dosbox or whatever. any game, no matter how old, you just install and play.

as long as you add the game to your library or you get the confirmation email, it will be in there forever. I think they have 7 games for free now, and they've given at least 5 away free over the years. and all of those are still in my games library thing.

Although for both games I got from gog, I had to find patches from other sources to get to run properly on my computer. I'm sure they do the best they reasonably can but it's no guarantee.

yeah but those patches are unofficial. im pretty sure gog can't include them in their releases for legal reasons. Ninja

huh, weird. I guess they all can't be winners. though so far with around 20 games I've gotten from GOG all of them have worked fine. guess I'm just lucky, or you're just unlucky.

I've had poor luck with a couple of games.

Fallout Tactics lags to the point it's no fun, and Jagged Alliance 2 crashes in the same spot five minutes in. Haven't tried the 1.13 fan patch for JA2.
