So I actually finished this game last year with my buddy, Eric Billingsley https://twitter.com/#!/woflox, but I haven't really put it out there until now. We made this for a 48 hour game jam in Ottawa, Ontario called CapitalJam! Hope you guys dig it.

4CUBE is a 1-4 player game based on the vintage paper game BOXES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dots_and_Boxes). Players take turns choosing a corner of a rotating hypercube, when the all the corners of one face are chosen the face changes to that players colour. Complete a face and take another turn. The player which controls the most faces at the end of the game wins. We also added some AI opponents so people can play solo.

Requires XNA 3.1. Configurable control schemes.

Interesting concept. I like the look of the rotation and the music.

I played 2 games against an AI. It overwhelmed me the first time. In the second game, I was behind but somehow created a cascade when I took the last available edge, which turned all the AI's faces into mine.

The short song the game plays after exiting confused me for a minute at first.

Thanks for giving it a go! Yeah the AI can be a little cheap-o sometimes, it's no substitute for a few real players. The "cascading" is one of my favorite parts of the game. I like the feeling I get when I'm playing someone, about to loose, then come back with just a few clicks. Pro-tip: You can also end the game in a tie which results in a rather interesting visual as the cube tries to figure out who the "winner" is.

Weird, not sure whats going on with the song playing after exiting, that's not happening on my end. We'll just call that a feature for now.

Thanks again!  Beer!
