Hey there!

It took me a while to make my first devlog, because I couldn't get any game to the point where It can be shown. But, here it is!

About the game

Spell Breath is a quite creative game, where you play as a mage,
of unspecified origin yet. Your greatest skill is crafting special
blocks made of pure magic. Your goal is to get through all the
dungeons to reach the great spellbook, which will make you the most
powerful of [block crafters] - mages.
It is a funny puzzle game, where you have to show some agility & skill
to beat it. Game uses Box2d for physics and App Game Kit (C++ tier) for graphics.

About the author

I am a young dev. (16) I have started programming in C++ one and half year(s) ago.
Before that, I was programming in all sorts of BASIC. I have started programming when I was around 12-13.
I do all the graphics and programming (duh) alone.
I'm not certain about music & sounds, because I haven't ever made any music yet, but I will have to, as my game
(Yes, I have made only one full game till now, which is Security Manager for Android - Made with BASIC language) lack it.


Which platforms will Spell Breath reach?

It will reach following platforms for sure:


To be exact,

Android - Every device with OS higher than 2.3. Tablets included.
Blackberry - Every Playbook tablet


About iOS -
I would release the game for iOS, but I lack MacOS desktop computer, so until the game will be a enormous success or I would earn MacOS in any time - Don't count on it.

@Update


Things I've added:

-Virtual Buttons to move.
-One more room.
-Animated background.
-Tutorial.

I must focus on adding rooms now. And fixing bugs.  Giggle

Another update.

I've worked a bit on adding a rock dispenser. And I have a rock dispenser  Addicted

Here is how it looks like in game:



I'm no artist, but I like how it turned out  Durr...?.


I will have to make music too... Somehow. Or anybody has royalty-free game music to get from somewhere? (Sounds aswell)

Hi;
Android represents >50% of the devices.
But Ios represents >90% of the sales.

Well, I have nothing against iOS, but I am just unable to ship on it, as I lack a Mac. I may buy one in the future, but for now I must stay with Android  Embarrassed

Just checked out the video and it's looking nice. Like the way you can create blocks. Is there going to be some sort of control limiting the amount and size you can make?

Mana limits size of a block you can create. About the limit, it's 50 blocks on the screen at the same time. Through, with mana limitations, you cannot create so much, and when you do, it simply deletes the oldest brick & replaces it with new one.
You can see mana points in the upper-left corner in the video.

Looks pretty fun. If i had an android phone, i'd buy it.
I'd really enjoy some art improvements, but it also looks pretty nice like it is.

maybe the tile feeling are still a bit strong. You could add tiles like this for example

Game will be free for android anyway. (Since polish developers can't sell their apps - DOH)
Though, It'll be supported by ads.
