Actually, i would very much enjoy a detailed analysis of all the powerups.

I have always imagined Miyamoto exploring japanese forests, randomly eating mushrooms / stepping on them violently, eating all sorts of other crap (leaves, flowers, feathers, coins), banging his head against brick walls, killing defenseless tortoises, as well as frogs and raccoons (the freshly ripped pelts of which he would then proceed to wear believing they would grant him magical powers), in addition to no doubt attemping to explore some hidden underground kingdom that can only be reached through sewage pipes.
