So like many of our fellow indie developers, I have quit my job to start taking control of things. Together with a very good friend of mine, we have started on our first game called RoboMinion.
The game is a 3D puzzle game in which you have to guide a tiny robot to the finish tile. You do this by placing different type of objects on the map. This may sound simple, but the problem is that the robot can only turn to his right on it's own. So you can for example place an arrow on the map, to force him to turn.
This video should explain it a little better. Please note that the I suck at creating videos and that it's from an older build.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4yJ8W6VD9w
And here are some screenshots(sorry for the size):
The game is in it's alpha stage and we have it on Desura. So far we have a few people who tried it and received some positive comments. But overall I find it very hard to spread the word about it. Very new to the marketing side, but I've found several threads that seem very useful and I hope to make good use of it.
I've sent e-mails to several sites but so far none have responded, though some smaller sites were so nice to post a review by their own
. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
We are also going to be working for another company, making a small game for them contract based, so I'm not complaining going indie, but I'd love to learn how to actually bring any attention to the game ^^.

I'll be sure to post whatever useful I've got to say here and to learn from you guys too. I'll try and get a demo uploaded soon. Not sure if this is done when a game is in alpha? Thanks, and crits/comments are welcome. Thanks
