Duck
Duck is going to be a puzzle-platformer where you play a green anthropomorphic duck whose girlfriend (a platypus) suddenly disappeared. And it's your job to find her. The game will have you exploring lots of locations and meeting strange characters on the way as you try to figure out where your girlfriend is.

I've had the game lying around unfinished on an old flash drive since around 2010. I've been coming back to it every now and then but haven't really been able to get the same motivation to work on it that i had back when i first started. Recently, when i was checking out some of my older games, i saw Duck and decided it'd be great to work on it again. But rather than work with a bunch of old code that's probably a mess, i decided to just restart the whole thing.

I hope you guys will end up liking it!

Day 0 (What i have so far)
-Part of the Grandma Engine (The player movement) is put in the game along with some little extra bits i added like the ability to fall through the jump-thru platforms, crouching, wall-jumping-although i'm questioning myself as to whether or not i should keep that-,
ladder-climbing, and block pushing. The latter two are currently a little glitchy.
-A decent enough set of tiles to work with until i need some area-specific stuff. What i have needs to be organized into one tileset though because right now i'm working with multiple ones.
-A bunch of ideas from my older version that i've already made. I just need to decide what ones to keep and where to put them if i'm going to use them.
-Most of the the basic player sprites completed.
-A couple of test rooms made up.

you know whats going to happen if you dont finish this daray

It's a hobby, so if you want me to do something, it might take more than a few hours. I also enjoy editing videos using Sony Vegas, so if you need a trailer, please message me. It's all free, because i find it fun to work with.

I knew it would be great from when I first read the title. The lack of punctuation gave it away.

I know that sounds incredibly sarcastic but I'm serious.

Cool colors!

Just played the demo. I sort of wished that I could use space-bar for jump. Having UP be the jump button makes it hard for me to move left-and-right and also control the jumping with the same hand.

I was about to say something like this. xD I'm actually surprised that this title hasn't been snatched by another game.

That being said, I hope the premise remains as simple as it sounds. Nice use of colors, in any case. ^_^

Is there any functionality in place to interact with the characters and signs in the old demo? I like the pixel-art btw.
