I think you forgot to scale the character up, judging by the tree.

Hehe the character is the only thing that is in the right(the size i got it from seren) size. The other stuff i just ripped from som mocup screens, and the screen size is not decided yet so i just put it out in 800x600.

It's written in c++ using my own framework which is based on SFML.

That should be mentioned on the first post. How many times have you answered that question? :D

Good to see the progress! At least now we can see it in game screen, our hopes of this game eventually being playable is ever raised higher Smiley.

What's with all the Coffee Hating? Missing out, I tells ya.

Also, cheers to Flink! For showing us that something game-related IS in fact happening. Not that the art's insufficient. It is more than sufficient.

can someone tell me what the pros of coffee are?  all i know is that it tastes like shit, and a lot of people swear by it.  seriously.  what the fuck people.
tea is where it's at.
i think the sequel to cafe will be about tea, and it'll be called "chai".

i don't actually like chai, but ENGLISH BREAKFAST is not exactly succinct or trendy as a name for a videogame

It's just an addiction, like smoking, and people need some way to justify it to themselves :D

I dislike most coffee, but I'll never decline from a good cup of cappuccino or other types of fancy espresso-based beverages. Normal coffee goes well with plenty of sugar and milk, though. My girl imports her coffee from Spain, so I usually enjoy a cup of coffeehouse-quality cappuccino at her place. Tongue

I mostly drink Coke (Zero) when I code, anyways.

Café looks like it's going to be awesome. I'm crossing my fingers for an alpha or a beta... Please? Kiss

This concept blew my mind. This is going to be an awesome game.

If it's going to be anything like Knytt, having a strong atmosphere and perfectly polished gameplay... I might say, imho, that you are making the greatest indie game ever made. No pressure or anything! :D

EDIT: wrong concept!

Coffee is an acquired taste. Once you get used to it, you love it.

Weirly enough, while I don't really like coffee, there is something in it's taste that makes me want more.

I think it's called caffeine addiction.

It tastes delicious and, depending on the method of drinking and the look you're going for, can make you seem disillusioned, artistic, creative, business-like, professional, important, unimportant, unemployed, fashionable, unfashionable, bohemian, depressed... THE LIST GOES ON. It is the most versatile drink in the world.

That said, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to deny coffee up to a maximum of three times if it meant that I could pull off this line:

- Hey, do you want to come in for a coffee?
- I don't drink coffee.
- Neither do I.

It sounds so weird when the one offering "coffee" is a male.
