The way this bundle is set up doesn't really sit right with me. I have no problem with people setting minimum prices for their games, but to then call it a 'pay what you want' doesn't seem right. I mean the site says "If purchased separately, these games would cost around $53, but we're letting you set the price!", well no actually you are not letting me set the price, because I have to pay over $8.77 to get all the games. Also if I want any of the games on Steam I have to pay over $5.

Now like I say I have nothing against setting minimums, but the way this one has been presented doesn't seem to fit with the HIB philosophy. Previous bundles would add one 'beat the average' game half way through so it felt like an extra. With this one it's from the start and it's nearly half the bundle. They are almost changing to a system similar to Indie Royale, where it's pay a minimum or add a little extra to support the devs. I have no problem with that if that's their goal, but they could set it out a bit better.

Amanita design made apologized the pre-order incident:

Apparently they just didn't think about it  Shrug

And btw, what do people here think about the Botanicula? I have been enjoying it so far. Great sound design and fun characters really create enjoyable atmosphere which seems to hold surprises on every turn Smiley

so far it feels like a really fancy screensaver. the sounds, music, art, animations, etc are really good. but the 'gameplay' is almost too simple.

not bad but a little boring so far. everything else makes up for the simplistic and almost boring gameplay, at least.

Getting the OST, not the game. Game doesn't interest me much, but Amanita OSTs are almost always top quality.

I've been wanting Kooky for a while now, so I think I'll pick this up.

Never thought I'd buy a HIB for the movie inside.

looks like GOG is going an extra step and giving Botanicula owners the Witcher enhanced edition thing as well as the already promised soundtrack, artbook, and Machinarium.

I love GOG.

Isn't it astounding how businesses don't seem to realize that if you do good things for your customers they'll be more eager to buy from you?

Do you really think they intentionally pulled this stunt to profit at the expense of their distribution partners? Reading through the comments, it seems reasonable that it was an honest mistake borne of a company that has a lot of resources invested in programming and art but didn't spend any time thinking about sales and distribution.

They need to pay attention and not make this mistake again, but it's not because they're assholes and deserve retribution.
