First test of leveling up:

Every level has randomly selected enemy type, destroy ten of them and the level grows. (to get higher score you would need to avoid killing them for as long as possible)

Level clears out and next level is initialized: next selected enemy type is randomized, enemy speed increases, spawn speed and flip stun time decreases.

Need to work on the visualization of the selected enemy type. Atm center are is way too busy.

I was confused at first, thinking you had to prevent enemies from ENTERING the black hole.
It's a unique concept though.

Could you get lucky and hit an enemy with the fruit type they're weak to and score an instant-kill?

Crafted a new main menu today, I think it fits quite nicely on my 80′s/90′s aesthetics goal!

Still trucking along, bunch of new features are in and I'm quite close of feature lock.

I made some quite drastic changes to the game: you no longer shoot bullet at random, ASD keys are assigned for bullets A = banana, S = apple, D = avocado. There are two special powers at players disposal: Slowmotion and laserbeam. Two meters by the player ship indicate how much is there left of each power. Player can fill up the meters by chaining enemies.

Some balancing and a lot of bug fixing to do and then it's test rrrround time. I've gathered some of my friends and colleagues around, and I think I can get around ten people test sample going. After that's done It's gfx tweaking time! finally.

Looking good! I've been following your progress on neogaf. What would be really awesome to see is what you imagine later levels will look like, I bet it gets really crazy (in a good way) once there's a lot of targets & effects on screen at once!

New enemy graphics, and loads of other stuff as well. some screenies:





Spot the new enemy type Smiley Blackball! It's invulnerable to normal bullets but once shot with laser it shows it's true colors and can be eliminated with right colored ammo. explodes violently and if another blackball is inside the blasradius it will explode as well, thus creating an opportunity for chain reactions.  My Word!

Is the look of the game on the iPad in the video the final look or was that an earlier version? Just wondering about the edges being blue rather then black like before?
