The final update First off, let's put to rest the whole walking thing with the new loading screen: Here's the download link:Windows Download v1001Changelog:- Camera panning
- Mouse controls (I have no idea why we didn't have this to begin with!)
- Lowered the gravity a bit for maximum hang time and less frustrating jumps
- Went through every level and fixed a lot of the problem areas
I urge everyone to give the game a try again. We spent the time since the initial release looking at everyone's feedback and putting a lot of polish into it. It's essentially the same game, but I think more accessible and less frustrating. I'm especially satisfied with the mouse controls. They feel great and improve the flow of the game. Thanks for the much needed feedback and support guys. This game is wrapped up. More to come.

Finished the game, very nice! Perhaps a little short, but overall a nice amount of gameplay, closure, polish!

Dudes, awesome job on the update. The swinging and jumping feels more natural and the mouse & panning is sweet. Glad to see you guys stuck with it and updated the game.

@John Sandoval - That's really encouraging considering how frustrated you were with it before haha. Thanks for giving it another shot.
@lasttea999 - Awesome man, thank you.
@brettchalupa - Phew, that's a relief! We didn't have a sense of closure after the initial release, but this time we're content with it.

the world doesn't care much but i hesitate to record a playthrough of a game with a glaring inconsistency because it's likely to change

once thatshelby clarified that this ain't getting fixed, i've tried to record a playthrough. alas, Fraps slows down the game and Extensoft Screen Capturer introduces nonlinear audio desync into the recording. this will have to wait for a hardware upgrade posted the game on owVideogames

I think this game would excel if it had a chain-swinging sub-mechanic. I think this would flesh out the level designs a little more...
Other than that tiny gripe.....good job!

finally got to play sorry for coming late to the party with feedback! I've not got too far (about a world and a half so far I think)- just jotting down first impressions the mouse control helps it a ton I think. I could get around much easier if there's one source of frustration for me, it's jumps where there's a block placed at the top of the opening I'm trying to get through which means if I hit it and stop dead I fall back down a pit, need to climb up and try the jump again. I wonder if you don't notice these occurrences because you're already an expert at the game mechanic, but I was having difficulties with some jumps 3-4 levels in which for me was still super beginner territory. one thing which I feel might help these instances is mid-air chain firing. Apologies if it's already come up in the thread, but I'd love to try a version where you can fire any time you like.. I understand this was deliberately avoided by design but it's what I'm dying to do I love the art and music- the whole presentation is very charming

@RichMakeGame - I already pmed you my thanks when you posted, but whiled this is bumped, thanks again for the great feedback as always. I'm really curious now as to what the game would feel like if you were able to use your chain multiple times in the air. Maybe we'll give it a try just for the heck of it. @jiitype - Thanks for playing! In regards to the audio issue, check if the audio folder and supersound.dll is in the same directory as the game's .exe. Also, check the in-game options/settings to see if the audio is turned on. If that doesn't work I'm afraid I don't know what the problem is
