Hi all.

I'm a pixel artist with a long (sporadic) history in indie games.

I recently picked up LivingDeadGame.com and thought it would be a fantastic jumping-off point to launch some sort of... Living Dead Game... Smiley

I was also recently playing "Zombies At My Neighbors" again and thought how much fun it would be to have a multiplayer online version.

Essentially it would be cut into "rounds". The goal is to not only destroy the undead, but also to 'rescue' the living... essentially the same as the classic game.

However, here's how we might diverge:

1.) All enemies are actual zombies, but with more variation. IE: Fat zombie, cyborg zombie, etc.

2.) In a style similar to classic FPS games, each 'round' would take place in an 'arena'... but naturally the arenas would be small towns or buildings. (Supermarket, factory, school, etc.) That means a rotating group of 'maps' for each round.

3.) New styles of play. IE: King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, etc. - All themed, so "Capture the Flag" becomes "Retrieve the Antidotes", etc. Also, the possibility of team play or "everyone for himself".

4.) PvP features. (With the option to turn them off if you're hosting.)

5.) Map builder. Tell me you wouldn't love this!

So essentially here's what I bring to the table:

Pixel art, Voice work, Storyline, Concepts, Domain name, Hosting, and more.

Here's what I'd need from someone(s) out there:

PROGRAMMING. :D Surprise!

Please do not respond if you are not capable of programming something like this. Music and sound and concept art are GREAT - but without the code, I don't have any use for it.

Thanks!

Can I see examples of your pixel art? Would you be able to do work for me in exchange for me doing work for you? I would love to get in a programming/artist exchange and the game sounds somewhat interesting. Also I believe it would be within my capabilities Smiley

I can exchange work, but I'm not an art master in any respect. In other words, there are things beyond my artistic grasp. Smiley

Here's a spritesheet I'm currently working on, and a zombie I made to attach to this thread after I posted it...

I also "made" these, just as a small factoid:  Yawn Facepalm Who, Me?

If it helps at all, I've worked in online games (the creative aspect, NO REALLY) on and off for several years. Started out on one of the first graphical multiplayer RPGs. Ever.

I have connections in the smartphone app arena as well as comics, etc. In other words, this is something we could keep 'as it is', or expand into other mediums as well.

I can take care of web design, advertising, and more.

In addition to livingdeadgame.com we could also use other stuff I own like zombied.com, deathpack.com, deadrights.com, bluud.com, freshgrave.com, graverobbery.com, gravetown.com, etc.

This is probably the one time you're going to find an ultra-serious "idea man" who isn't just asking you to fork over your time and effort on a silly pipe dream he'll drop in a week. Plus I'm offering graphics and more, not "just ideas".

This is for REALS, yo! Beer!

I'm also flexible. I think this would be most easily achieved as a round-based game, but if YOU want to do some other style (open world, whatever) then hey, that's your call.

Edit: Also, I'm going to semi-retract the idea of me supplying artwork in return for someone supplying code. I want to collaborate with someone invested in this concept and be 'together' on it, not toil away on someone's game I might not be interested in so they will toil away on my game they're not interested in.
