Hello guys.  Smiley

I am making a game, for Android, called BOXNER. In this game, player will have to control mechanical arms in a factory. Goal is to go from a small humble factory to a huge one with many boxes to catch, destroy. Leaderboards, achievements, arm upgrades and many more in it.

Using:
- Android SDK + Java with Eclipse IDE
- Swarm SDK (for leaderboards and achievements)
- Inkscape (vector art)
- GIMP (new 2.8. version is great)

I am doing the programming, art, story, marketing etc. My friend is making the music. I am testing this game on a very old Android device and it runs smooth. That should be a good sign for now.

So, I will try to post about the progress. And hopefully when the time comes, I will find  game testers here. Smiley

EDIT:

Boxner is finally released! You can get it on Google Play here.  Wink

- new system that will determine the actual state of the game,
- made basic Dialog system,

Boxner Dev Log - Day 2. update on TIGsource Forums [May 02, 2012]

Here is a new screenshot from Boxner. Choose level. Although this screen is taken from 320x480 device, it will look better on bigger screens. There will be more work on this screen. But the main things are working fine.

EDIT: Here it is. Smiley

Boxner Dev Log - Day 3. update on TIGsource Forums [May 03, 2012]

Today I was working on the new type of box in the game. Actually this kind of box is not for catching with mechanical arms, player should destroy it.
Also worked on a special event in the game when the Sneaky (exploding box) explodes near the arm. That takes you to this event. I hope that tomorrow I will have a screenshot to show you.

Thank you guys for reading this. I respect your time.  Cool

Boxner Dev Log - Day 4. update on TIGsource Forums [May 04, 2012]

 Well, hello there!

Worked more on "FulaMod" event. When the player fails to dismiss Sneaky (exploding box) and it explodes near the mechanical arm, "FulaMod" appears. Player will have to watch the combination and then to repeat it by clicking on the bolts to fix the mechanical arm. Every new level holds different combination.

As you can see, there is more work here but slowly it is taking the shape I want to see.

So, here is the screen...  Roll Eyes

Boxner Dev Log - Day 5. update on TIGsource Forums [May 05, 2012]

Today I created new graphics for the game, like backgrounds for the menus and levels. I've listen Guns n' Roses too much. I think that they will not be on my playlist for a long time.

Hello guys. Last couple of days I finally managed to work on Boxner. I have been busy working on my other game for Windows Phone and as it turns out, I finished it and published on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Boxner design changed. I made a new logo, started writing code from ground up and making new art. The game will be published by the end of October.

So here is a little screenshot just to show you the new perspective. More information and updated topic about the game will be here soon (like tomorrow).

Congrats on finishing! I like the graphics and the video looked pretty fun  Grin Idk if you're still tweaking, but it would be great to add some polish to the numbers on the GUI.

Thanks. Yep, there is still a great amount of polishing to do. Still learning and experimenting.  Smiley
