Hi, I was looking for an artist to make a 2D Tech Demo/short interactive story in DirectX (Windows). Ideally I was looking for a 2D cartoon style drawing but of course It is great too if that is not the case, even if the graphics are made in 3D and then rendered to be used as 2D (because the tech demo is in 2D)

It's a 2D Tech demo (1280x720) but programmed using 3D code, so a 3D card is required to run the demo.  All the art of the tech demo need to be created: backgrounds, characters, animations....

Sadly I can't pay anything for this, so, this is voluntary work, maybe someone could find it interesting for portfolio

Although It's a tech demo I have to say It has a lot of art work, including animations, that is something to have in mind, it's like a little interactive story that happens in a street, there are neither objects nor inventory and You just move your character and click on things, so the story progresses. All the "project" is already written on paper and the idea is to make something that squeeze the power out of the graphic card using DirectX, the idea is to make something "fancy"/"beautiful" (many things happening at the same time, some interesting effects.. things like that), something that makes You say wow!!, amazing!!, and so I thought that maybe someone could be interested in making something like that as a porfolio, but, as I say, I think it has a considerable amount of art work for a tech demo because it's more like a short interactive story with a tech demo mentality

You can see some tests I made some time ago at my Web (http://zenger.heliohost.org/).

If you could be interested in making something like this please contact me using my mail (It's on the web) and I can tell You more to see if You are interested

Thanks for reading  Grin
