I don't know what vegan hamburgers you're eaten, all the ones I've tried taste like shit. well there was one I trid at a restaurant that was okay but you can tell the difference between a good vegan burger and a good and real hamburger.
plus I don't see vegan steak being better than a real cow steak anytime soon.
and yeah I agree cows are worthless, but at least they taste nice so we can keep them around for now. glad we can agree that as a species they don't deserve to exist.

It's about being self-responsible and acting towards a better future. Don't lie to yourself.
lol what. a better future where cows are not eaten instead they are left to...do....what? run around eating all the grass and shitting everywhere. k. let's stop eating delicious hamburgers so those cows can have a glorious life of running around...eating...and shitting. gosh I'm so glad I put down that hamburger, now the cows can fulfill their life goals without me fucking it all up for them. maybe if we campaign hard enough we can get them to be eligible to vote. yay for the liberation of the cows. no the idea is to get rid of all the useless fucks so they'll stop taking up all the salad space and we can grow some goddamn beans for kickass soups and shit i don't care about what's humane, it's just how much food we can grow in whatever space i hate cows

@DAVIDCARUSO <3 1) Nebulous future prospects Not really, the situation has been pretty clearly stated.
2) Asceticism Vegetarian & vegan food is quite good, despite what perhaps may be the popular belief. It's not meat though, so if you define "good food" as meat then you're probably in for disappointment no matter what.
also yeah what pen and crowe said.

Remember dudes, if you don't want to sacrifice something you like for some nebulous "future greater good" then you're juvenile and irresponsible and also probably a hedonist. Food asceticism is the future, repent for your sins.
Okay you, as a brazilian shouldn't take part in this thread, most of your people like to kill shit in the jungle and eat it in the hope that it might magically grow their hairy penises, maybe you should wait a couple hundred years and post here when you are evolved.

Something similar happened in USA in during the abolition period in the 1700s/1800s. It worked out fairly good, even if many problems still remain. It's a long road, but if enough people get properly educated about the suffering of others and alternative food sources, I think can work good in the long run.
Just to be clear, you think domestic animal farming is comparable to human slavery? And did you just refer to animals as "others"? As in "other people"? Or was that unintentional? Radix 2012 : bro animals are not in the same class as humans, it is completely ridiculous to feel any sympathy for them Radix' great grandfather 1712: gentlemen, deese here niggers slaves have nothing in common with our refined civilization, it is therefore oh oh oh ridiculous to think about not enslaving them as we rightfully should

I don't eat a lot of meat. It takes a lot of effort to thaw out, prepare and cook so I only have it a couple times a week. My doctor recommended that I eat more of it (along with working out to build muscle) because I'm underweight. Whether he's right or not is a mystery cause I haven't listened to him. Being skinny is just too easy.

I've provided links to high-quality vegan substitutes for meat. These alternatives, should they be invested in by bigger companies (think wallmart etc) you'd effectively have products that taste just as good as regular meat at a much lower price within a few years. I understand perfectly why you wouldn't buy them presently, I'm just saying there are already tasty alternatives on the market.

And we're now able to know that the difference between humans and animals is that humans can sometimes be pre-rational babies capable of believing that animals are really just animal-shaped people who can't talk.
