This is a really noobish question, I know. I have developed as 3.0 games and I did the graphics in flash using .swf animations. My question is, I've seen a fair a mount of games for android using what seems like vector graphics, do they use flash or is there an open source alternative that I don't know.

The bottom line is that I want to make a game for android with vector graphics and I'm unsure of which tools are available for this.

Thank you for your time an patience tigsters.  Gentleman

I thought of making vectors with libgdx a while back. I havnt looked into it and have only used for pixel based graphics but i think it could work fine. Libgdx itself seems fast and easy enough to work with, though im no seasond gameprogrammer so I don´t know what you realy want when working with vectors. All the common figures are there though.

I was thinking more on using svg or swf for the graphical assets, can you do that with libgdx?

Scaling graphics in libgdx is no problem, if that is what you are after. As for drawing shapes, as I said, I have no experience with working with thoose but all the common squares and lines and what not are there. So i donīt know what tools and methods you need or what a "vector library" contains.
But I defenetly recomend checking it out. Itīs fast and easy to work with.
