[edit: I, erm, had second thoughts about my comment. Let's just say I was quite excited about getting that kind of finish time.]

This is so many generations later it hurts, but there was a game by konami that I guess was an rpg. Anyway you were in a mech going down into the moon investigating whatever strange things were happening; all I remember as from my childish memories is that it was actually interesting as the people you know started to change/ get infected. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but I remember actually being scared by it, and now I can't remember it for the life of me. Oh it was for the playstation, so  shoot me if it's too un-indie.

I thought I remembered something like this on the Amiga, called Bio-somethingorother with a green wireframe head on the front cover. Then I did a search on MobyGames and came up with this which is something completely different but seems to match your description... ahh well.

The one I was thinking of was a little more like System Shock crossed with Hired Guns, but then again I could be completely making that up. Could be an awesome game though...

[EDIT: A little more searching comes up with Captive 2 (which has BioCorp in it, so I was close enough).]

Holy shit, it was space griffon VF-9, I can't believe you actually found it. That's a really weird name too, something I feel like I would have remembered. Hmm, now to see if I can find a copy anywhere.

Hi. I'm new here...

Anyway, I think the first game in your picture there is Seaquest or something. I have it for my Atari... I'll have to try and dig it up, I have no idea where it is Cry

If I find it I'll edit this post with a photo of the cart. Although, I doubt I'll be able to get it working, so no screenshots Tongue
[Edit:
Actually, it was called Scuba Diver. I remember playing this game for hours...
Anyway, I couldn't find my cart. but I did find this screenshot:

And this image of the cart:

Hi Mike.

Hmmmm.. Does it have a second screen you can get to? What's the sub and torpedo doing on the cover?

I'm very sure this game was for the Vic20. There is a Vic 20 game called Diver, but I'm not sure if that's it.

Edit: Scuba Diver is a strange game, if you manage to get into the water, then hanging out in the corner catching fish right after they spawn in the reef is the obvious 'exploit'. I wonder what's up with the turtles.

Oh, you enter the ship to get to the other screen... Hmm, I'm not sure if I recall that screen layout though.

Dunno why that image isn't loading...
Anyway, Here's the page I found it:
http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/2600/01/4.html

It may have been called a different name on the Vic20. It could have been:
 o  Skin Diver
 o  Sea Hunt
 o  Scuba Diver
(If it was in fact this game...)

I remember a level very similar to the one you illustrated, and I thought it was in this game. I guess you could search for a rom of this game and see if it's similar.

Hope this helps.
Edit: As for the art on the cart, I don't remember ever seeing a sub firing torpedos in  this game. I guess I don't really know why they put it on there.

Edit2: Actually, I vaguely recall swimming down inside the "ship" at the bottom of the screen and it would bring up a new screen with treasure in it, which looked a lot like the image you illustrated... I'm almost certain this is the game. (Please dodn't quote me on that... Tongue)
