I'm also taking Civil Engineering because I can't do much with other professions because I'm color blind.. I'm wondering, are any of you color blind as well? And how has that affected your life? I think spriting has been a really helpful practice for me telling which colors are being seen

Left the Game Programming major at the college I was going to. Been working on games since. Been debating returning to school to major in Asian Culture & Language studies at Rutgers (p close to my house) or just disregarding computers entirely and go to Culinary School. I'd like to not work on computers 16hrs a day if possible. Working as a part time chef/part time game dev seems like it'd be fun.

I am studying Computer Science. Having almost finished my degree, i think i can safely say that it isn't actually my life's calling or anything like that. But it's a good set of skills to have.

I'll be studying film production starting next year. Plan to begin hitting up open mics and doing stand-up comedy.

I did 6 years of CS. Should have been less, but writing a Master's can take a while, and I only finished last year Lips Sealed I've been working as a programmer for 5 years now. I sometimes wonder how I still manage to be 24 years old Shrug

For the longest of times I was quite lazy and poor and occasionally went to school to learn some IT stuff but then stopped bothering. Now I've been working as a mobile software developer for a year and a half. It sort of came to me by itself. I was looking for a job, obviously something programming related but not in the mobile field, and I actually applied as a PHP developer (or was it Java?) and did some currency conversion stuff as a practice thingy and on the first day they asked if I'd be interested in doing iOS applications in Objective-C (since I knew C++). I was. I've always believed that the right things happen at the right time, you just have to wait for it and not stress out.

Since then I've thoroughly learned iOS development, decent amount of Android, the promising but dead upon birth Meego platform and some Windows Phone.

Top-tip: cross-platform solutions for the mobile platforms suck balls.

i'm the world's first fart powered automobile. i'm immobile. i'm strong as fuck. i'm fragile. i'm in love. i'm uncertain. i'm a woody allen character, sure of purpose but sweaty palmed, the knife i try to plunge into your chest cannot find purchase in my aquatic grasp. this encompasses my failure, as a man. there's no obvious starting point when you look forward, but when you are of an advanced age, you can look back with a clarity of vision rarely afforded a myopic teen tethered to a monitor. my failure is of a singular nature, it all returns to the sea. it's difficult to deal with an existential woe, the threat of not existing, and gripped by that terror, we are driven to a cowardly inaction. it's a sad reality. i like a sandwich with a bit of crunch to it.

I merged Information Systems Engineering and Animation to try and pioneer a gamedev course. I've also studied Realty Investing, Class A Driving, and Small Business Development.

I'm currently a math-trainer-speed-courier-software-designer-developer-virtual-rockstar-doggysitter-life-coach slash fucking adventurer living day-to-day in my 550-square-foot personal kingdom with my two manchildren and hotlinks to Facebook, YouTube, TIGSource, OKCupid, Zenius-I-Vanisher, FetLife, RedTube, and GoGoAnime.

But I'm still not an Arrteest! Cry

Got a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree, 4 years ago. Worked mostly programming games since then, which is cool at cause I got a lot of experience in game programming but bad at the other hand cause I have almost only experience in game programming and it's not easy to find game programming jobs over here. So, I've been mostly making flash advergames for Advertising Agencies, and boy, they usually suck. Advertising people have no clue about game design.

Also, I started recently a gaming news website with a friend, which gives me no money but takes a lot of my time... but it's cool, probably my most successful project, been invited to write on magazines and talk on events because of it and people really seem to like it.
