So I'm going up to Toronto from Sunday June 3rd until whenever and wanted to see if any TIGsters would be interested in meeting up during that week while I'm in the city. I'm still ironing out the details but I'd be interested in hearing what times people are available, so I can plan my time around that.
Cheers!
When: Wednesday, June 6th at 3:00pm
Possible Locations: Snakes and Lattes (600 Bloor Street West)
Who: Shawny Jotapeh Threesided Udderdude Sean A.
Additional Info: Snakes and Lattes has an entry fee of $5 per person. As well, bring money for food and drink since we'll probably jam for quite a while.

we even have an emergency shelter for the lost & confused pixel artists that end up roaming the streets en masses. In the worst cases programmers have had to barricade their doors in an attempt to keep out the starving hordes that assail them with a myriad of sprites & animations. e: also, snakes & lattes is a pretty cool hangout spot just sayin'

@Shawny: All right, I'll keep you (and this thread) up to date with dates, times, and locations. Glad to have you on board.
@Pietepiet: Haha, come on Pietepiet, you know you want to move to Canada.
@Eatingburger: Thanks for the hangout spot, I'll definitely look into it!

I work a really shit schedule (Friday-Tuesday) but if we can arrange a Wednesday/Thursday thing that would probably work out for me. Hooray! Another Toronto pixel artist!

More artists. Good, gooooood.
@threesided: Yeah, don't worry about the rough schedule you have, it's the reason I'm asking people when they're free in advance. I should have enough time to work out a date when we'll all be able to jam together. I'll keep you guys posted!

I'll welcome your crashing with open arms! Added to my list of people I need to keep updated about this.
EDIT: Also, since I haven't been to Toronto in a few years, I'm counting on others to list good locations for the meetup. If you know a place you think would be great, feel free to shout it out.

Double posting in here, but has anyone heard of A & C Games? They seem to be a little shop that sells vintage video games and consoles, along with doing little tournaments and stuff for games. They might be a suitable place to hold a small jam for the (currently) five of us. I'm sure we could ask to get a table set up in their place and just all hang out there. Of course there's the issue of food, I know a lot of these jams are usually focused around a place that serves food so...?

A&C Games itself is a small store, however A&C World is much bigger and has a lot of game consoles and etc. http://www.acgamesonline.com/world/As for food, there's plenty of places to eat around there.

yeah A&C is alright. Great dudes but 'spensive. Even at A&C World I doubt they'd let us hold a jam, for a couple reasons, the main one being space. The second being they really have nothing to do with game dev, they are more about holding tournaments for players and selling games and gear. I will try to think of an alternative.. most places wouldn't really be jam-friendly in Toronto, they have products to sell, but maybe we can snag some office space or something somewhere
