GAME RELEASED - AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS, MAC & LINUX AS BROWSER-BASED

Ladies & Gentlemen,

This morning, I’ve released my October Challenge FOR FREE. Why? The result is not really fun. I’ve made games in 48h that have more  of the fun-fact than this one month work.. I don’t know why. But the reason of the post is that I have released Gravity Nano, finally. FOR FREE.

Gravity Nano is a jump n' dodge-style platform game that
consists in get the maximum score in the Leaderboards.
The "magic" of this game is the abailability to change
the gravity orientation to your favour. It's pretty simple, with the
up and down arrow keys.

In fact there is only one object that is really important and
that is the Leaderboards! You will gain popularity by being in
the first 10 positions with other Nanos like you. Earn more score
match by match and be the first Nano in the Leaderboards!

Again I will say that this is not the result I want. But I feel like I just want to release this and put a final. I will continue updating the game, ofcourse and probably in a future, when I have more experience, I’ll do a remake. But this is the result for now.

The game is available to play on PC, MAC & Linux. You can play it HERE.

ALSO, if you want and ONLY if you want you can give me a donation to support me, moral and physically. The big donation button is in the GAME SITE.

Thanks for reading me again, and again and for giving me support, because I feel that I’m not alone and that my games will be improving and growing month by month. Because I don’t want to stop making games and I WANT to work making them games.

Regards,
Midgard  Gentleman

Ok, playing the game, here is some immediate feedback.

- In the tutorial. I think you can move the images to the background as sprites instead of objects to explain what they are about. As I move around they can impede my movement or I can appear behind them as I move up and down. Aesthetically speaking it doesn't look too good. Also, when I hit the yellow bonus points square (the small one, not the large one at the end of the tutorial) it actually started the game.

- There should be some feedback when I click a button. Perhaps the button changes color and a sound plays when I do that. I tried hitting High Score but nothing happens, and when I hit retry, although it works, there isnt really anything that immediately makes you know it worked. Same thing should happen when you acquire an item. A sound should play for a nice feedback result.

- Perhaps you can put the lifebar above the game area, and make it a bit smaller.

As you say, this game is a work in progress, so if you already considered these things, just ignore it. But if not, its a little something to make the game more presentable Id say. I like the mechanic of playing with gravity. Game seems interesting and I think can be improved upon. The Highscore mechanic gives it a old arcade game feeling.

Finally, FEEDBACK!

Seriously THANKS.

- About the Tutorial: It is a good idea making it non-collidable. I thought about that when uploaded this new version so don't worry because I will change it for the next version ^^

- The sounds when you get a bonus, click a button etc is in progress, anyways I only thought about the bonus sounds but the button sounds also sounds great Smiley I'll put it in the next version too.

- And the lifebar/oxygenbar. Sure I know that is a noise in his actual position so I will put it in another position in the screen and probably more smaller.

But hey, seriously thanks for the feedback because I needed it a lot. Count with all the changes around the next Monday!

Have a good day.

The stars in the background bother me a lot, they're very distracting. I think you could use some depth, since they looks so flat.

Have some stars move faster/slower than others. And alter the color of the slower ones, make the slower ones slightly darker shade of yellow and the "faster/closer" ones the bright yellow youre using. I think that would look a lot better.

Looks cool though. Is it all HTML?

I've seen your post now (sorry). I will try the faster/slower stars to give a deeper effect and I will include it next week.

About the question, I'm using Construct2 so nope it's not all HTML.
