ya thats what i heard too. gonna stay away from any mods until it's 100% confirmed they won't lead to bans.
btw it'd be so amazing if the game had official mod support, but that'll probably never happen.

welp i guess i could still try the ENB mod in offline mode. doesn't seem very practical for pvp anyway because invaders wouldn't need torches when you do.

Brotherhood of Blood progression is fucking retarded. The ONLY way to rank up is to win duels in the arena. Invasions, and red soapstone duels do NOT count towards your rank. You need to win 50, 150, 500 MORE DUELS than you have lost to rank up.
You can LOSE rank if you lose more than you have won.
Meanwhile, at the Blue Sentinels home base...
Invasions, duels, and protecting other players in the Way of Blue count towards your progression. Losing does not set you back. Same numbers to rank up. 50,150,500.

On the flipside, you don't expend Tokens of Spite to duel. You just need to have one period. Conversely, you DO expend Tokens of Fidelity to duel, which means you have to farm them if you intend to rank up Sentinels that way

Invading in the BoB is completely de-incentivised by making it 100% irrelevant to the covenant. It doesn't level you up, you lose your orb, you gain a completely useless item (token of spite), and if you bought your orb there is a 99% chance you wont even get enough souls back to replace it. At least give me souls for winning duels  Blue Sents are the true dickwraiths in this game. |

just wanted to say that the jump controls are still fucking terrible. whoever thought it would be a good idea to require jumping in more than 1 place??
also yeah theres not a lot of incentive to invade as a red phantom this time around: no humanity, getting souls through co-op is way easier than pvp and ganking is limited by soul memory.

i'm going to have an aneurysm trying to do the rat covenant. i won every time i invaded somebody else's world, and so far have lost against every phantom that invaded me.
people are literally being hit by my magic and not taking damage, but they melee attack from a million miles away and it hits me. it's pretty cool.

i switched to doors of pharros for my rat king spot and now i'm winning every fight lol.
also practicing in the belfry luna made me a lot better at pvp, so if anyone is like me and never bothered with pvp, i suggest you join them. it'll give you good practice at no consequence.

Iron Keep seems to be the hub of red invasions, probably because it's such an annoying area to fight in.
That said, there really needs to be a normal red eye orb.

the only real benefit of doing those is that you get 2 spells and 1 ring. so unless you're a magic build you havent missed much.
also when i did those quests i think i had all but 1 of the items in my inventory already haha.
also also the invasions are really easy. navlaan is a poser.
