I always wanted to do a coach build. Maybe I've mentioned it before, but basically you run around naked and summon other people while spouting cheesy encouragement through the ingame chat.
If you want a real build: dual greatswords.

The path to the fucking smelter demon is retarded. it is the only time i have ever felt like i have to farm the enemies until they stop spawning. this is fucking ridiculous.

i didnt have big trouble with it. i found it even easier to skip the enemies than sunken's path.

Aggro on some of the enemies in that area seem to be entirely random. In the first hallway sometimes there is a mage sometimes there isnt sometimes he slows you and you instantly die sometimes every enemy chases you through the whole area sometimes they dont.

I was really disappointed to see the smelter demon again, what a lame excuse for a "new DLC boss". Overall though it was really fun traversing the whole DLC area

the other dlc's co-op boss wasn't all that new either since they were just ai phantoms. im assuming the last dlc will follow the same route of recycling something somehow.

Tried Sunken and Iron king DLCs. Sunken felt a bit annoying for my build because of the enemy hordes (I can manage, but found them boring) while Iron King is ok but I stopped to the room with big guy and smaller knights in front of the door.
I don't know why but DkS2 to me seems to have lots of these horde moments which I just don't like or find them boring. I know I have said that before but these DLC's just reinforced the impression to me. This is probably an overstatement but sometimes the encounters felt a bit like in some novice GameMaker games where the designer had just put 10x enemies into a room to make it hard.

I don't know why but DkS2 to me seems to have lots of these horde moments because it does they replaced most of the interesting miniboss fights and setpieces with these annoying hordes. i also dislike the scripted feel of the aggro that goes along with it. in demon's souls you could be really methodical about pulling enemies (tho it sometimes made fights too easy), the more scripted feel in dks2 results in a bit more trial and error there aren't that many hordes in sunken king tho, there are ways to fight most of them 1 on 1 if you use the environment to your advantage (sunken king = environment puzzle souls)

Yeah, that's true. I miss the miniboss fights and setpieces.
In Sunken I refer to places with lots of enemies in small area as "hordes" even though I technically can take them on 1v1 or 1v2. For example the beginning of the area with archers and regular soldier and one later with long path with archers and regular soldiers. I didn't mind these in DkS or DS but to it's gotten a bit too repetitive pattern to be engaging anymore. Actually reminds me of Shrine of Amana.

Beat Dark Souls 1 today, which is surprising because I took a pretty long break and I beat the Four Kings and Gwyn in only 25 minutes apart.
I thought the Four Kings were going to be one of those bosses that I raged at, but once I realized the gimmick I actually kinda grew fond of the fight. That seemed to be the case with most of my favorite bosses. The ones that really gave me trouble ended up being the ones I respected the most (except Bed of Chaos and Stray Demon, those were just annoying).
Anyhow, now that I've seen the end I can safely call this game one of my all time favorites without feeling like a scrublord, but more importantly I can move on to making new characters in DKS1 and DKS2. :D
I think I'll dick around in DKS1 a bit longer before returning to DKS2, I really fucked up stuff on my first play through (I'm looking at you, Quelana!).

Pssh, infinite, yeah right. The Abyss is just a really large, dark room. It actually does have a wall, but it's insanely far away from the bonfire. Same thing with the Gwyndolyn fight.
