why is faith so terrible in dks2? miracles are basically a joke save for wrath of the gods, all the lightning scaling weapons seem to have been nerfed and u don't even get a weapon buff until 4/5ths into the game. who designed this patch? richard dawkins??

I doubt its actually anor londo though. Ds2 already has two areas with extremely similar architecture to anor londo (heide's tower of flame, iron keep), and the connection those areas have to the real anor londo is iffy. The soul the old iron king in the iron keep drops on NG+ is supposed to a fragment of Gwyn's, but then there's that Dragon Slayer in heide's tower, which makes me think the existence of those two things is just fan baiting and not an implication that either one of those places were anor londo at some point.

ok so,
i still don't like the setting and (visual) area design for bloodborne tbh. it seems lacking in atmosphere, like they just plastered the levels with lots of "cool" (i.e. tacky) looking shit rather than the economical and lore-guided level design of the souls games. does there really need to be a freaking coffin every 2 meters? it reminds me of shadows of the damned (which was a game that tried to be ridiculous) tbh.
it also looks like a whole bunch of pretty standard souls enemies and combat encounters to me.

i agree its more cliche, but im still excited by the richness and visual fidelity of the world. This world looks a little more lived in and less sterile than the environments of older souls games.
hopefully there is a little more variety than just these gothic areas though...

older souls games didn't look sterile at all for the most part. there's "lived in" and there's "cluttering everything up with random shit".
anyway, im not, like, mad because of this or anything. i will still probably buy a ps4 for bloodborne lol

Considering Dark Souls II is the worst entry and it's the last of a 3-piece season pass DLC I'm not too surprised. I'm still mad that I preordered it and even more mad that it was produced in the first place.
