The correct way to exploit a series is to main title every 3-5 years (4 best or one per generations), spin off every years with side characters/stories that goes either wildly experimental, just iterative or go on a different genre to expend the universe, then the main title refresh the tried and true. That's nintendo, capcom is good at it too.

Yeah, my only worry with this is that it'd be either announced too early, or that the dev process will be too short to put out something at the same quality as Bloodborne. Either way, if it's gonna be helmed by Miyazaki, I have faith.

original iosefka is the live alien (the one that is always there regardless of whether you send anyone to fake iosefka). i mean idk its unclear, but the alien is in the original blood transfusion room and theres an empty wheelchair in that room.

i wish the tonitrus never had its charge time shortened. right now its pretty annoying to use because you literally have to recharge it every 5 seconds.

I think it'd be really interesting to see what'd happen if Miyazaki tackled sci-fi

he already did. he directed armored core 4 and for answer. but ok, that was him working within an established setting. itd be neat to see him come up with his own scifi setting for sure.

i remember seeing that miyazaki interview where he wondered how many big games he has time left to make, so it makes me kinda sad to think he's shackling himself to dark souls 3 now. im sure he'll breathe new life into whatever he makes though, that's just the kind of dev he is. people are complaining about souls fatigue lately but i think that feeling would be 10x worse if miyazaki and company didn't have the foresight to change up combat the way they did with bloodborne.

still, i wonder if miyazaki sees Souls as a project to continue to expand upon or something that could possibly become creatively stagnant. probably a bit of both.
