Dark souls 1 is awesome. I have been playing for a few weeks now when I get some free time. I don't think I am that far into the game, but I have a blast playing. I am trying to play without looking up anything, and I diddn't know too much so its a pretty blind playthrough. I really like how they don't explain a lot in the game and kind of just drop you in there. The first day I spend a good few hours just fighting skeletons thinking that was the correct way to go.. Then I found the other path.
I find the game pretty hard. Hopefully I get better at it.
Whats everyones favorite moveset in Dark Souls?

Jesus, how many times I fought those god damn skeletons on my first playthrough, without knowing where to go. I got to the first bonfire in the catacombs and managed to kill a second necromancer by dropping the skeletons on the cliff, before I decided to go back I see if I missed something. Those were frustrating times, but the game charmed me somehow and I kept playing.
BTW, I saw some people talking about how the path to Undead Burg is easy to spot but that's just not true. It's like the devs were punishing you for not exploring all the area and teaching you that some places available to you were not on the same level as you were.
I started another playthrough a few days and, man, it was so satisfying destroying those skeletons with a two handed mace remembering all this. Still my favorite in the series.

Ya and there is an item breadcrumb kind of leading you there from the bonfire. I think the game does subtly hint to go there first. I did miss it for a while until I explored everything I could and found the enemies got easier that way.
I just got to the bell gargoyles, and i'm having some trouble. I'm taking a break and ill try again later.

He said you had to climb the stairs or something and go up, but he never said where the stairs were, so it's easy to miss it, if you're not exploring well. I dont know, maybe I was just dumb I went to fight the skellies first too, for what it's worth. Road to the catacombs seemed much more natural, while Undead Burg stairs looked more like some optional side-area to me.

One of the bells is up above in the Undead Church, but the lift is broken. You'll have to climb the stairs up the ruins, and access the Undead Burg through the waterway. "hmmm looks like the HUGE ASS waterway is over there, let's see if we can get up there"

is miyazaki confirmed for it? because the official material released now definitely has a dks2 vibe for better or for worse.

Bandai Namco did confirm series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki would be involved in the game’s development, and I’ve asked for clarification on how much he’ll be involved. Stay tuned for that. remember miyazaki was also "involved" in dks2. as a supervisor.
