It has been written!

Following the lovely turnout last time, our regular meetup will be on the first Monday of the month (or thereabouts), at the Lass O'Gowrie in Manchester.

First one will be on the 9th July (so not actually the first Monday of the month this time, but ssshhh), at about 6pm. The Lass is a really geek friendly pub (and laptop friendly too) with arcade machines dotted around and good food/beer. It's a stone's throw from Oxford Rd station, and is walkable from Piccadilly.

Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your dog, tell the postman!

Beer!

I was just wondering if anyone had talked about this, nice one!

However, my graduation is the very same day!  So depending on how long that drags on I might not be able to make it :/

Yep, same pub. They're nice guys, and geek-friendly. Getting outrageously excited about the Maker Faire jam, would you guys be up for making something?

I reserved some space in the snug bit at the Lass O'Gowrie, plenty of room for folks. Would love to speak to anyone who's planning on coming to our Maker Faire thing, not long now! Smiley

Meet is tonight!

I'll be down there about 6:30, sporting a bright MCRgamejam tshirt so I should be easy enough to pick out. Yay.

I'm looking forward to hearing some people's big button game ideas - I've thought about it for a while, but can't come up with anything interesting that wouldn't take too long to throw together.

Planned size for the buttons is big enough for an average person to stand on. We reckon one person might be able to activate two at at time.

The main reason I didn't post specifics (that's my blog post) is simply that we haven't actually built them yet!

The electronics wizard Bob (from Hac:Man) might be joining us, he's the chap with the specifics in his brain.

Giant button jam sounds interesting. I hope you don't just get a load of B.U.T.T.O.N. and Dance Revolution clones.

Mark will you be bringing a build of Chroma tonight? I'm itching to get a close up look at it. In fact will people be bringing laptops to show off what they are currently working on? Did that sort of stuff happen at the last one? Or did everyone just get smashed? Or both?
