After our first successful meetup, we're going back for more!

From the Facebook event --

Because once is never enough, it's time again for another Montreal indie meetup! Join your fellow local game devs for a night of demonstration, inspiration, and socialisation!

This month we'll be welcoming Heather Kelley (Hexagram, Kokoromi) to speak about GameSpaces---the Venn-diagram intersection of co-working venues, hackerspaces, indie game devs, and a large circle of awesome.

Come one, come all, invite your friends, bring your laptops, play your demos, and enjoy the occasional pint. If this kind of fun is wrong, heck, we don't want to be right.

When: Wednesday July 7th, 7pm.
Where: Brasserie Artisanale L'Amère à Boire (2049, rue Saint-Denis)
What: A chance to socialise with, and be inspired by, our awesome local game dev community.
When: I already answered that, you sly fox!

Hope to see you all there!   Beer!

Looking forward to it, but, I think we ought to experiment with other venues for this, no? I remember we were sorta cramped in there! It wasn't that bad, but still.

I really like the place but, yeah, it was cramped, and will only grow moreso. ;_;

I personally thought it was comfortable in there, but you're right, we're most likely going to grow. The upcoming meeting should be okay (based on Facebook responses and a comparison to last month's meetup), but for the following one we'll see if we can find a bigger venue (and suggestions are welcome!).

Hey everyone,

Just a friendly reminder to come on down to L’Amère à Boire tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7pm for an evening with your fellow indie game devs.

While our main speaker Heather Kelley can't be with us (knee surgery can be such a bother), Darius Kazemi---of the IGDA Board of Directors and co-organiser of the Boston Indies, among many other accomplishments---will be driving up from Massachusetts to speak with us for the occasion. It's not to be missed, or at least to be missed only with a valid doctor's note explaining the absence!

And of course, afterwards we'll all be free to socialise and mingle with our fellow indies. Bring along a laptop and/or a demo to discuss, or just pull up a chair and a pint, and be inspired.

Details and directions in the event description (see above, or visit the Facebook event).

See you all there!
