Short term goals:
  • Finish a new game (in progress)
  • Get that sold on FGL
  • Get enough money from that to buy New iPad and Apple dev license
  • Get collaboration project with Geeze going (in progress)
  • Pretty much same goals for that as for the former one Tongue
  • After getting iPad and license, port FtM for it and finish it
  • Start designing science based interactive picturebooks for iPad

As for long term ones, well, this isn't about games that much but I'd like to be scientist and popularize it with books (and games?) etc.

  • Voice act in my own fighting game.
  • design sprites for my own game.
  • have it be better than arcana heart.
  • speak to Monty Oum about and have him feature my game in a combat sequence out of interest . ^_^ (that's when you know you've made it)
  • build a company from the ground up.

For me, it would just be, while surfing the web, to find some random person recommending one of my games. If that doesn't bring on the warm fuzzy feeling, then what does? Smiley

I'd say "finish a game and become a successful designer/producer" is hardly "unique." At least around here!

-Attend at least one of each: Anime Expo, E3, IGF, ComicCon, and PornoCon. Preferably costumed and ready to rock. Oh, and a game jam sometime soon, when I can make it plausible.

-Spearhead a game development community in town here. Actually, I'm already doing that, so let's add "successful" to the mix.

-Complete my signature project(s), along with the Dynamic Music Generator. The sooner the better, but better done right than done quickly.

-Financial independence (read Think And Grow Rich) would be nice, but bringing about economic stability to my town is more important. Bringing it to myself is pretty up there, though. But not the kind that's built on objectifying others or being an advantageous prick; the kind that comes from community-building. No such thing as a "rich man" in a poor town/country!

-Pass Valkyrie Dimension (Expert) on DDR without bar-hugging.

-To remain happy, sane, and relatively healthy and active in the meantime. Two galpals that won't drive me the wrong brand of crazy, and enjoys playing pass-the-dick would be cool, too.

Doesn't work that way. You only get one or neither.  Ninja

After reading a bit seems that most of my goals aren't really unique...  That's a good thing.

Uncommon Goals:
  • Create an innovative 2D control scheme for navigating 3D and 2.5D gameworlds.
  • Build a secure decentralized user generated content network.
  • Foster a game modding community for our games and use microtransactions to give modders Hand Money Right
  • Bring at least one dream from each of our Team members to life.
  • Make the 3D GUIs seen in Sci-Fi movies a reality, and dev in a fully 3D environment.
  • Use games to help get "Human Rights" extended to cover all sentient beings (including machine intelligences).
  • Keep playing and making games even beyond the natural heat death of the Universe.

I want to get a good night's sleep and finish a game.  lol

Me too!

Doesn't work that way. You only get one or neither.  Ninja

So. True.

Interesting... Well, hello there!

Well, I have a lot :

Game-related :

- Have people make a Let's Play of my game
- Have someone make a game they say was inspired by my game
- Be able to make a living out of my game (damn that'd be nice)
- Get recognized on-line
- Get recognized IRL
- Win an IGF award

Not Game-related :
- Learn how to ride a bike
- Learn how to ride a boat
- Visit : Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Russia, Central Asia, North Korea, Japan, India, Nepal, Borneo, New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem, Dubai, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Greenland, Canada, New York, California, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Antarctica (yeah that's a lot Tongue)
- Have a house with a modern design, something like Richard Garriott's Britannia Manor

The greatest game is a social life, it is just too hardcore for
many players who struggle with its control scheme and don't like
grinding for experience.

- Be able to publish the game version of a pulp magazine, where each volume contains short games by various developers.

This would be awesome.

I'd like to make a RPG for a touchphone where the controls don't suck. Heck, even a platformer that doesn't suck would be nice.

Step 1: Be not-poor.
Step 2: Donate to charity, return to poorness
Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2 until death.
