I think he means instead of having to write the file extension manually, you choose png in a dropdown menu.
Just have png as default though, since it's standard for pixel art. That way you can just press export and press enter when the dialogue pops up.
A hotkey like ctrl+shift+E would be nice for export.
I mean when you click the "export" option, the format in the filename is still .pyxel, it exports a png but you have to erase .pyxel and write in .png. I think that if someone wants to export something it should automatically be assumed to be a png (unless there is a "flat" version of your .pyxel format)
Ah, right. The file save dialog in AIR is kind of limited, I don't think there's a way to specify a drop down for different file formats. I will make the file name end with .png and add a shortcut for exporting though.
Tried it out and really liked it, though the one thing I feel it needs is some sort of animation preview functionality. If it had this I feel I'd use the program for all the art in future projects.
Yup, animation support is coming at some point.
