Hello,

We decided to enter the 7dfps challenge (http://7dfps.org/) with a team of 10 people. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish because of a few problems:
  • Two guys' computers got problems and they couldn't use them.
  • My internet went down on second to last day.
  • etc...

So, we decided to continue working on it after the challenge was over.

BlitzStorm is a multiplayer team deathmatch. We've been working on it for a week so far. It will hopefully be finished in a few days.

All art and everything has been made during this past week, with the exception of one or two models that were convenient to use.

Here are some screenshots:

The level blockout you see has been almost finished. I'll post a pic when it's done.

Also, this game is being made in the blender game engine

Hey everyone!

I'm one of the programmers working on BlitzStorm.
As the hours drew closer to the finish, things got tense. I was reduced to using a netbook, and debugging with a screen res that argued with opening the map. long story short, we didn't quite make it. But, now that the deadline is of our own choosing, we're good to carry on.

So, multiplayer is a key aspect to the game, and my speciality. The problem with multiplayer is, if you weren't already aware, it encompasses the entire game. It also can be difficult to find people with the same workflow as yourself, so it is often a solo job.

Asides multiplayer, we don't intend to expand upon the deathmatch playmode too much, as this project shall initially be a proof of completion rather than long term game project.
