SecondChanceStudios is a team formed by 6 talented students in our final year of study at Qantm College Melbourne. We are developing a 2D platformer that will be targeted towards those looking for a challenge of the mind.

We would love for gamers of all sorts to test out our demo and fill in a short survey so we can build on what we have already got.

The concept behind the game is that you (front player) must guide your soul(back player) through the world to become one again. You can control your player freely whilst you can only control the jump of your spirit.

www.secondchancestudios.net

The game is played using the arrow keys and the space bar to jump. Left Shift is used as a sprint.

Any chance you can post a webplayer build? Not only are people like myself lazy about downloading and unpacking games, but many people don't like to download files of unknown origin, out of fear of viruses, etc. Since a webplayer build is so easy with Unity, it seems like a good idea.

Also, a picture or video goes a long way towards convincing people to play a game, I've noticed.

Aww, I fully don't mind downloading zips and unpacking them... but I clicked the dropbox link just now and came up with a "nothing here" message. Sad I really love hardcore platformers! I was looking forward to seeing this one.

Oh well, ill just subscribe to this thread in case of any updates.

New build has been added to the original post above.

-Starting to implement some art work.
-New level.
-Jump pads and low gravity fields have been added.

Dont forget to have your say with the feedback for we need input to improve on what we currently have.

Hi, I got your message. I've just tried the dropbox link out again. It may have the wrong version - what I downloaded only had blocks, nothing much to do and seemed it like a very basic prototype.

Another suggestion, if you post on a dropbox page, perhaps it would be better to have an executable build in an archive. The Unity web deployment will not work on a dropbox folder; you need to put that up on a proper web server.
