Had a great time today, and I'm looking forward to wrapping up this project tomorrow.

I had a great time at TIGJam UK, it was awesome to meet everyone and see what people were getting up to. Props to Beatnik Games who set us all up and even went off to grab a superlong ethernet cable so we could have internets after the wireless router overheated. I'd do it again. I look forward to next year or whenever!

If we do this again sometime I'd like to come more prepared, but I had a fantastic time nevertheless. It was great meeting everyone, and being surrounded by all these nice and talented tiggers, beavering away on their games (and posing for eyetoys).
I'm not sure I'll be adding the games I was involved with (Hasselhoff Mystery, jetpacky-hotel-lounge-game and bus-driving-game, respectively) to my cv (the world isn't ready for the Hoff Mystery, I'm afraid), but I had loads of fun doing them.

Yeah, it was great to meet everyone I saw a lot of really cool things being worked on, as well as a few alcohol-inspired sneak peaks. Mightypea taught me his Photoshoppan secrets, and Beatnik were kind enough to give me a copy of the TIGJam poster to take home. Oh, and that weird game Increpare's been showing for a while in the What Are You Working On thread is going to be totally tits.

Thanks to everyone who came. I'd definitely be interested in doing it again - hopefully for longer next time, as I travelled around 12 hours to spend 30 hours there So, next time I'll book early, sort out a plane and have much more time to play with.

Shame we're in the middle of a crunch here at Beatnik (hence why Alex and I were knackered 24/7)  - next time we'll be far more entertaining!

Well that was a lot of fun!

Highlights included:

Watching corpus attempt to sleep sitting at a desk 
Spreading homous on bread using parts of left over pizza boxes 
Seeing everyone's excellent projects already in progress (terry's allegro based platformer especially made me swoon  )
The Beatnik guys buying us dinner and beers! 
Collaborating with JimBob on the tentatively titled 'Project Penis Extension'
and chatting with a load of talented people making great games

I ended up missing my coach home due to the london underground being utter shit (what's new?) and the coach people said I had to buy an entirely new ticket. Bastards!
Just about everything that could have gone wrong, did! Still, I had a great time apart from that, and it was nice to finally put faces to all those names. I kinda wish I'd been a bit more productive, but there's always next time!

Thanks to the Beatnik guys for hosting this, thanks to Corpus for arranging it and thanks to MightyPea for letting me crash at his house and eat the last of his magical biscuit-based spread!

This weekend was fantastic fun! In particular it was really great to collaborate on stuff face to face; that's not something I've had the opportunity to do before!
