First a mysterious update to TF2 with random weird objects dropping featuring a quote from a sherlock holmes book. Now this: http://www.adultswim.com/promos/valve/

Adultswim and Valve, wasn't expecting that. We'll just have to see what it is, I guess. Also, there's a new post on the TF2 blog that I shall quote below: Mmmmph mmmmph, mmmmm mmmmmp mmmmmph. Mmmmmph mpm! Mmmmmph mph mm! Hm mmmmmph, hmmmmph mm mmmmmph mmmmmph!

Apparently the numbers on the weapon from the last post converted to letters is GRAY. Engineer made three life enhancing machines, redmund and blumund had another brother who can be seen in the family portrait with a gray suit. Gray team?

I honestly think that's the best thing they could have done to keep it from getting stale. The original was elegantly designed, but without all the added content, it would died out a lot sooner. Online multiplayer games only get their one big break before something new comes along.

Maybe it's an official TF2 animated series? They could just steal machiminima videos and have an endless pool of content.
I'm not sure what else would logically come from this partnership.

I think it's been there since February. There was a short animated version of the image hidden in one of the Portal 2 trailers, too.

At least from what I've seen DOTA2 items are just cosmetic at the moment. From the very start, TF2 items were more than cosmetic and some of them completely invalidated default items -- who the hell would use the shovel when they have the equalizer, for example.

the only TF2 related news that would excite me is the announcement of an official vanilla mode.

With the normal ax you get random crits and do more damage than the axtinguisher. Ubersaw is slower, vita saw is a joke.
