Hi Everybody,

Here is a game I've been secretly working on for the past 2 months:

It's basically a turn-based, tile-based strategy game, where you can issue your troops to build or invade enemy tiles. You play as a commander of an army of anthropomorphic soldiers trying to rid the universe of an evil tyrannical species who are trying to conquer the galaxy. Anyways, I think it's easier to just let you play the game, rather than explaining every little detail.

It's written in Java, so you can only play this in Java enabled browsers, preferably in Windows (I'm still trying to figure out why it's not working on Mac). You can play the game online from here:

Hope you guys like it. I'm looking for feedback. Thanks in advance!

Also if you have a Kongregate account, and you like playing my game, please check the game at:

Would really appreciate it.

Hmm, the mechanic looks interesting, but the pacing is pretty slow... at least for the first level, which is the only level I played btw.

All I was doing is scout-secure-salvage-build-repeat, I did this for 5 or 6 tiles and nothing significant seems to happen (except some of my troop starved to death).

So, my first suggestion is to make it less "tedious". Figure out what exactly which part of the game is the "fun" part and maximize it by reducing all the not-so-fun part. Otherwise, player will leave the game before they get to the fun part Smiley

As for the art, I like the characters, almost "ms paint + Star Fox" style... but the main map is not nearly as interesting. If you make the artwork for the tiles more consistent with the characters, you may end up with an interesting artstyle.
And each tiles are way too big. I shouldn't need to scroll, when the map is 5x5 grid

Thanks for the good advice. Very informative. I'll think about adding more "fun" stuff to do.

I have to agree, there was really no clear direction or idea of what I should be doing to succeed.  I also couldn't tell what the skills for each team member were supposed to be.  There were little icons, but I couldn't figure out what the icons meant.
