I think technically Miller can be a bit ropey but the way he draws gotham in TDKR is distinctive. The texture and tone is an important part of it (moreso than the details of the plot - because there isn't really one) and part of that is Miller's, admittedly sometimes crude, art. The way they've 'improved' the art by making it more coherent and detailed takes something away I think.
In particular the mutant leader bothers me.

He looks like the villain in some cheesy Saturday morning cartoon. I was expecting him to say "belongs to the molemen".

I really enjoyed this.
My one issue is with the security systems on the fusion reactor. It shouldn't have been any 2 board members, it should have only been Lucius. Furthermore, there should have been a "duress activation sequence" that looks like you are activating it but instead of turning it on permanently destroys the device and floods it. All the security systems they had were designed for literally the exact situation they were in with Bane and they did jack squat.

They established that Lucious was in favour of the project but Bruce didn't want it to become a bomb.
The thing with the board members is weird - the one that volunteers is the board member from Batman Begins who says 'Thomas Wayne wouldn't want us to build weapons' when the evil board member is trying to do that, and he's the one who says 'the apple has fallen very far from the tree' when Bruce pretends to be drunk at his 30th birthday. In Rises he doesn't serve much of a purpose and he wasn't in TDK, so it seems like he's only there as a super obscure callback to Begins.

I wish Robin being in the movie wasn't so painfully obvious, I guess he overestimated how stupid his audience would be.
when the girl went "robin is a nice name" literally everyone in the room went "WHOAAAA" really loud he is not overestimating they are dumb

personally i saw the robin thing as more of a wink than an actual twist, but at that point it was blatantly obvious that he was gonna be batman's successor in some way so idk. personally i would've preferred if they said his name was dick or grayson or even dameon or something though, idk.

I was surprised because to me Robin wears tights and fights crime alongside Batman. I expected him to take over as Batman but that's not what Robin is.

Wish they just made him say that John Blake was actually an alias for Tim Drake or something or Dick Grayson. They didn't have to create their own Robin and have it HIS ACTUAL NAME ROBIN JOHN BLAKE (retarded)
Now DC will most likely produce a new Robin in the comics named John Blake. Kind of like X-2 in X-Men Evolution and Static Shock and Batman Beyond

Nope. DC comics have basically resigned themselves to titillating an increasingly small audience of comic book nerds. Case in point: the currently running Batman storyline features a villain who is revealed to be Bruce Wayne's long-lost brother.Thomas Wayne, Jr. is Bruce's younger brother. While Bruce was young, Martha Wayne became pregnant again and decided to go on a tear against the mayor for defunding certain schools. This presumably placed the Waynes in the crosshairs of the Court of Owls, who ordered Jarvis Pennyworth -- then-butler to the Waynes and father of Alfred -- to drive Martha to a certain location, where a car accident was staged.

It doesn't seem like they used any of that footage, though. I don't think the film is a direct commentary on the movement, but some events and dialogues in the film are definitely meant as references to Occupy Wall Street -- if nothing more than as an attempt to make the story feel more relevant. I was pretty disappointed with DKR overall, by the way...

They wanted to film at OWS but couldn't get permission to. I don't think it's a commentary on the whole Occupy thing either.
