I'm sorry, but that finger looks like a dong. That's going to have to change before anything else happens.

I like the mini-game

I didn't like the controls very much ( using the mouse to move the player ). i'm on a laptop and it was sometime hard and choppy getting the player to go where i wanted him to

i think using WASD would be easier and in the end more funner for gamers. The gameplay and animation is smooth though

keep it up and feel free to check out my work as well Smiley

totally fair. the dong does not show up in the final version, it's only provided for the debug windows version so you can see your cursor.

thank you for the feedback. the windows version is only for testing, it will never be released. the touch controls are for iOS device.  Well, hello there!

I like the overall art style and writing, but usability is the biggest problem here.
I realized that the finger is suppose to be placeholder (according to previous posts)... but the fact that I can't see where I'm clicking because some ui is drawn on top of the finger makes a pretty poor playing experience even for testing.

For the actual gameplay, the goal of the game is also pretty unclear, and walking around isn't as nice as it could be because the character doesn't path-find to where you clicked. The help is pretty confusing as well. I'm mostly lost, not knowing what I should be doing.
I also feel that the overall game is a little too buggy.

Another minor issue is with the dialog text; the annoyance comes from texts that appear one letter at a time, and when I tap the text when all the letters haven't been shown yet, the text box disappear instead of showing me the full text.

Generally, I think the user interface and overall user experience is holding back what could have been a game that I greatly enjoy.

That's what will happen with the touchscreen devices anyway

I like the look of the game, it's simple but it gives it a cool style.

The game can feel a little aimless though, not that exploration can't be fun, but I'd have liked a little more direction, maybe just a bit more of scene-setting before the game starts proper.

The collision boxes for some items, like coins can seem a little too small and especially with the finger covering the screen, can make picking them up a bit of a chore. Maybe increase the hitbox or just allow tapping to collect coins?

all great feedback, thank you very much

The game definitely needs an 'opening cinematic' that gives the player a bit of a push in the right direction. Agreed that without more guidance the game can seem aimless.

I will fix the item collision and text. thanks again friends.
