We are a small team of two who have already worked several years in the video game industry, especially MMOs.
Since January, we stopped all to devote ourselves full time to creating an Indie MMO type "2D Space Shooter RPG" named: Gangs of Space.
Our game is a little at the intersection of Star Control (many gameplay with many different ships) and Realm of the Mad God to the minimalist vision of what should be an MMORPG.

=================Our current goal
is to release the next major version of the game late in August, along with the new program from Valve: Greenlight.
In the meantime, we want to add to the game:
- Better handling for new (retention aid).
- A first set of sounds.
- A new series of map with new enemies / AI / BOSS (replayability).
- The management of gates and multi-map
- A first graphical improvement (tileset, background).
- And of course, the establishment of the first version of the network.
So far we have always been autonomous but we would still like to improve the graphics.
For this we are looking for artist who want to make 2D
- Tiles (in vector)
- and/or Backgrounds (bitmap or vector)
The game was comprised of "maps", apart from a first set of assets very classic (asteroids, space junk, wrecks, excavation fields, abandoned space base) to be used for generic needs, we are very open and asylum from the graphic that they offer us "universe" they particularly want to achieve, for example a tileset sets of carnivorous plants, or necrosis zombie that devours planets, or Greek gods, or Moai heads.
If the contact goes well between us and if we love the universe that you put in place, we may also ask you later to make spaceship (player and NPC), weapons and equipment, graphic effects, etc..
