Hello everyone, I guess now is a good time as ever to announce that Extraterrestrial Grail has been completed!

Extraterrestrial Grail is a free, off-line, single-player, turn-based strategy/board game in which you play against 1-3 computer players. Extraterrestrial Grail takes place in outer space in which you are an alien searching for the Grail on different planets. The object of the game is to have the Grail card in your hand when time runs out or to kill everyone + have the Grail card in your hand.

This video game was inspired by the board game in the book Interstellar Pig.

Features:

    - choose between 8 unique aliens with different special abilities!
    - choose from 25+ attribute cards which include ray guns, viruses, teleportation devices, and much more!
    - create your own custom deck of attribute cards to play with in game!
    - learn how to play Extraterrestrial Grail using the in-game beginner's tutorial

the visual representation is insufficient for how complex this game is--so many stats and details that seem to matter, but they're stuck in a long chunk of text about each character instead of represented in a way that makes sense to human perceptions, and a lot of it isn't obvious even after a decent amount of reading. this would benefit from some icons, reduction of feature bloat, or both. we can only enjoy systems if we're able to interface with them.

i am really excited for computerized boardgames though and hope to see more.

Hey Porpentine, thank you for the feedback!

Yes, my video game is very complex but that is what gives the game depth and fun. Did you try playing my game with the Beginner Tutorial (press F3 on title screen)? The Beginner Tutorial helps explain how to play the game of Extraterrestrial Grail.

When you say that "this would benefit from some icons", can you be more specific as to where and what the icons should be and give examples? Thanks!
