"I am an old person, tired at night, being accosed by someone at night, what else did you expect me to do?" The spinster frowns.

"I might ask to you what were you doing entering to my room without previous warning. It seems completely disrespectful and invasive. Maybe you were the one trying to do something cruel to a poor old person like me?"

OoC: Vote for somebody else. There's at least a 50% chance of not getting lynched that way. But seriously, you can give a better defense than that.

"A better defense? You are the one who should. I may not have been active, but at this point, the same could be said from Wade. Personally I want to withdraw from conclusions until I have something to contribute. There is no point for me to send a man to his death. My age maes me appreciate life and youth, I wouldn't be one so keen to take one just for the sake of it. I don't have a case for suspicion yet towards anyone, hence my reluctancy."

"For the sake of my own protection, I vote Nix. He may not have done anything to me, but I need to protect myself at this point."

(OOC: I hadnt been able to pay attention much to this game to build a defense. I was worried that i would die an hour afterwards I posted that. Thanks for not doing so crowe. )

NIGHT TWO

     The sun was going down; it was time to tally the votes. Each tenant gazed at the box with trepidation – the accused man could be any one of them, and who was to say that the last man lynched was even guilty? Fission Mailed was the only one with the courage to open it up, to count to votes… what few there were. “There is one here for Abraham,” he said, “and one for Nix.” His hands shook as he read out the names, but he slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out a sovereign. “Heads or tails,” he asked darkly.

     Without even thinking, Colonel Nix rose from his seat and shouted that he would not stand for it; he was trusted, he had served his country, it was actionable – his normal steel nerve breaking, clearly, under the pressure of very personal danger. Abraham YG merely called heads… and for another pillow – the old rheumatism had returned, he said.

     The coin rose in a shining arc, turning over and over. It spun… and dropped, the face of the queen obviously visible. From the back of the room, a shot rang out – Colonel Nix, it seems, had shot himself.

     Under the circumstances, that seemed to be the end of it. The body was put with the others, and the now diminished party went to bed.

DAY THREE

   Daylight broke unheeded upon the Warmsley Arms. No breakfast laid in the dining hall, no servant waking those few tenants who were still among the living. A pall of fear laid upon the hotel, stifling whatever good cheer the season might normally bring. Only one man was somewhat unaffected – the owner, Geeze, who was not about to let a werewolf problem cause his hotel to fail.

   “Must I do everything myself?” he wondered, as he folded the linen and laid it carefully in front of each door (the rooms being deadlocked to a one). Where on earth could the maid be? Probably sulking like all the others, he thought unhappily; how was this establishment to become a success if the help was so untrustworthy? Halfway through cleaning the lunch service, he decided that he had given SirNiko too much slack – the maid would simply have to buck up and help.

   “SirNiko?” he called through the door. By this time, several of the other guests had finally ventured out into the hallway and had gathered around. “What do I pay you for, man? Get out!”

   As he grew ever more annoyed with his evidently useless help, the other guests began to imagine a different explanation for the situation… Doctor Tanner, at last, ordered that the door be knocked down, and his fellows complied – only to reveal the gruesome and disturbing sight that they had been dreading would await they themselves. SirNiko, during the night, had been brutally savaged.

   Clearly, the danger was not over.

(Hey why you wrote lynched next to SirNiko's name if he was killed by werewolf, not lynched?)

[Ashkin]

"Okay, this time, the killing was targeted. And I suspect two people, both of whom SirNiko was in contact with: Inanimate, and Abraham. I'd like you both to present a story of what you did last night."

[Inanimate]

"I did absolutely nothing... SirNiko contacted me only once, trying to learn what I could do, if I could be of any help to the investigation... but, but I... I couldn't help him. I couldn't do anything to help anyone..."

Inanimate looks away, holding back tears. Apparently that's all he has to say.

[Alevice]

"I have nothing to say to the matter. Had I wanted to dispose of him, I would have done so the previous night and wouldn't have been so obvious to do so while I am a suspect. It's obvious that the murderers deliberatedly set it up like this to distractattention from them. But hey ashkin, my dear ashkin, what about you? What have you been up to these nights?"

[Inanimate]

"Abraham, that's... that's a very odd shift of topic. You imply you have the means to, uhm, dispose of people... that's not something I like to hear, when murders are all around us."

[Alevice]

"You know exactly what I mean Inanimate, twisting words to have another implications doesn't seem too ethical."

[Inanimate]

"No, no, I didn't mean to twist words... I just misinterpreted what you meant. I am, uhm. Sorry. For the misunderstanding, that is."

[Ashkin]

"I haven't been doing much these last few nights. Apart from some contact with SirNiko, I've stayed inside my room. I am not so foolish as to wander the mansion while a murderer is about. It's sad that one of the few persons I actually trusted had to die- and rather suspicious, as well."
