As expected, this project is pretty much laughable at best. My original idea was to come into this thread and make a joke about making the next big mmo, instead though, I'll just be blunt. Asking someone to help you make an MMO when you say you've only done one other game is a joke. You have no other programmers helping you judging from your post, and no budget to pay for the multiple artists you'll need, not to mention a musician(s).
I'd recommend working on smaller projects to make some money that you can use to fund something of this size (even the most doomed MMO's have a few thousand dollars of funding to blow on employees). Also worth noting is that saying you can offer a percentage on potential revenue (while a nice gesture) is probably going to get more people laughing at you than helping. A fair amount of people, myself included, consider that to be a joke idea, as it almost always falls through.
While I'm sure your intentions for the project are good, any artist with half a brain would avoid this, unless they are really THAT freed up for time that they feel this is worth working on, in which case, good luck on this.
EDIT: I see you made this thread already back in April. It didn't get any hits then, why would it get any more now? Not to mention you could have bumped it, saying you're still interested in finding someone.

If you're not interested, dont even bother replying to the thread.
I'm not expecting to make the next World of Warcraft, also, you have no real idea if i can pull this project through or not or are you sitting here next to me watching me code?
Why should i aim low? That's not how i work.
How about you do your thing, whatever it is you do and let me do my thing without you coming here telling me it's a dumb idea?

That's how not how these forums work. Threads are open invitations for conversation, both positive and negative.

Sure they are. But i fail to see the point in coming in to the thread just to laugh at the project.
With that kind of attitude you wont get very far.

I have nothing but positive things to say about a person who has an audacious idea.. That being said, dude, chillax. Coming to a forum as a level 0 and proving your chip in your shoulder garners enemies... People are going to post what they're gonna post. Learn how to just... accept users for the way they are :D (By the way, from one audacious project developer to another, if you have an MMORPG idea, keep the fact that you're making an MMO on the hush-hush if you don't want skeptics)

@Dron: I'm giving you a response from the perspective of an artist and you're essentially telling me to fuck off and mind my own business? That's an interesting way to respond to someone.
I can understand why you'd be mad that someone comes in and tells you your expectations are too high, but surely you've seen the multitude of people who want to make MMO's only to give up soon after? It's pretty much standard at this point with projects like this. You must have expected SOMEONE to make a cynical post.
Anyway, yeah, I'll leave you alone now. You don't seem to be interested in hearing what I have to say, but I do think it's some food for thought. Again, best of luck with this project.
Warning - while you were typing 2 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post. Curses!
EDIT: Yes, I did come into this thread to make a snarky one liner about the project, but I clearly didn't end up doing that, did I? I gave you an observation and recommendation, for the reasons I just mentioned above.

If you think all he was doing was laughing at you, you didn't take the time to process what he wrote. Why should i aim low? That's not how i work.
It's not about aiming low. It's about aiming high and taking the time to place your feet squarely on each stop on the way up. That means not wasting your time fumbling around with something which would be impossible for you to complete (and yes, we know what we're talking about. There is no way you will finish this project). But there's really no point in telling you that. You're stubborn and you're doing to disregard any negative, even if helpful, advice that we give you. You'll figure it out eventually and when you do I hope that you haven't lost your motivation to create games.

Show a prototype and I shall not lol _ This is how you approach something like this. Get something playable using shitty programmer art, then come here and say 'Look, this is sorta real. plzhalp' Your responses will be 100% improved.

The thing about working on MMOs or any decently sized project, is that you've got to really convince people in joining your cause. Especially, if you're asking a bunch of strangers on the internet to help you out.
This is usually why we suggest you to start on smaller projects, because it's a lot easier convincing people to get onboard, and by doing alot of smaller projects you can find artists that possibly fit your development style and would be able to work on bigger projects with you.
But hey, it's your project and you can do it however you want. Just to share my thoughts, I would suggest trying to find someone locally, possibly at your Uni to help out with your project. Also like others have suggested, just work on stuff with placeholder art and stuff and then show people something playable which can help a lot to convince others to help you out. G-luck.

@#Sharp: Quite frankly i would never work with people with that kind of attitude so it's not really a problem.
The level a potential partner has on a forum is not something i would take into account, nor would i judge their capabilities after it.
@Kramlack: All you did was basically to come in here and calling my project laughable.
My plan is to make it in steps of course, first making some small multiplayer pvp, moving on to co-op, moving on to mmo.
@Nix: I'm pretty sure you dont know what you're talking about, i have a vast experience of programming in many languages and i've also worked on MMORPG servers and i've written ONE game in C++/SDL and a few others in other languages. I'm not disregarding advice and how is it advice if it is negative? i can take both positive and negative critisism, thats not a problem.
@DeadPixel: That's probably a better approach than this
@MoOshiCow: Thanks for the advice, i have some decent programmers in class whom i've been contemplating asking if they want to join in.

Hello sirs, will you help me make a massively multiplayer online role playing game? I can pay you a total of zero dollars and am willing to share some of my entirely plausible revenue stream with you, should you choose to give me artwork for free (I won't pay you).
I hope someone here finds this offer worth their time, because my mom said I'm not allowed to stay here, on the internet, if people are mean to me.
