An awesome entry for the demake compo by : PoliceDanceclub, Kobel and Moi.

Official compo entry is V1.0
DOWNLAOD VERSION 1.0

But if you intend to play the game longer, you should play Version 1.1 released after the deadline, so not the official compo version
DOWNLAOD VERSION 1.1

CHANGELIST FOR VERSION 1.1 (september 11)
--------------------------
-Managed to stop the game from raping the CPU

CHANGELIST FOR VERSION 1.0 (september 7)
--------------------------
-added warning against epilepsy
-game autosaves every time you beat 3 levels (you can continue from menu screen)
-decreased frequency of flash sequences
-tried to make them a bit less annoying too
-minor fixes in maps

You should really put the seizure-warning in the game, because nobody reads readmes.
Although I'm no epileptic those flashing images made me feel really uncomfortable and nauseous.

So you reached level 7 already ?
and yeah maybe I'll put it in game for next version.

*SEMI-SPOILERS*

Made it to level 14 before I lost (lives seem so arbitrary in this game). I lost one life because there wasn't a way back to the pacific when I go into space too early on the continental stage, and two trying to chase down the last few planets on the solar system stage. I'm probably not going back to the game, though, since the early levels take way too long.

I liked the reinterpretation of the sheer horror of a giant ball rolling everything up, but by the levels around the ocean/earth's surface stage, the Lovecraftian flavor text shows up far too frequently, breaking my stride.

Overall, I like the atmosphere, and the gameplay works well (apart from me not realizing I can roll past a fence I couldn't absorb in the level with all the people in the center.) Nice job!

Yeah maybe I should include some sort of savepoint, what do you think?
As for the continental stage there is an order in which to absorb the countries
carribean, central america, venezuela, peru, chile, alaska, groenland, brasil, usa and canada, you have to take the southern route to go around the continent at least two times

And maybe I will lower the frequency of the flashes too for the next version.
Gathering ideas....

Saving would be super nice.  I kind of want to see the rest, but playing through the first few levels again just doesn't sound fun.  I got up to the "cult of impostors" level.

I got to 14 and died trying to chase down the damn planets. Too bad, I wanted to hear my song  :D
Oh and just to give credit where credit is due (or not give it where it isn't), the only thing I contributed to this project was a short piece of music. I expected a sort of honorable mention, not to be sandwiched in between the two creators in some kind of... sandwich. Now I feel like I'm stealing their thunder Embarrassed

take advantage of this man sandwich while it lasts.
And maybe I'll make the planets level easier because it can be a bit annoying chasing them yeah..

Wow, you're totally right, must be some sort of bug that popped up on the last compile, I'll fix that as soon as I get back home later today, in the meanwhile I'll remove the download link  Embarrassed
