Either that or maybe make the hat bigger, more like a witch's hat and less like a birthday hat Please tell me the musket dwarves will be arranging themselves into firing lines, that would be awesome.

Wizardwarfs look girly, and dwarves are NOT girly
I think that wizard should have A) Hood instead of a hat B) Dark robes, instead of girly violet C) Gray beard, as he is a wizard! These would make him look good, I think.

The laboratory will be used for the wizard to make magic spells/traps. Sort of like Dungeon Keeper 2's Library.

Implemented lava: It doesn't yet do anything differently from water, but it is possible to have both kinds of liquids (currently if water touches lava, the lava simply becomes water).

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. I made the tables and chairs actual models today (with art from plasticware): He's also been making our interior props look better: On the technical side I'm currently implementing dwarf block placement.

I keep misreading it as DwarfCop, which sounds cool too. The wizard should have a white beard -

Just read the entire thread from start to finish, this looks amazing. I imagine you'll have to work hard to make it different from Minecraft - I showed it to my friend and he went DERP LOOKS LIKE MINECRAFT WITH DWARVES DERP

Exactly what I said. I said it was a cross between Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress, but more accessible than DF, and if he'd ever played DF he'd know how epic that would be He replied with "no one cares bro" My friends are so uneducated

Yeah, he mostly plays CODBLOPS2. To loads of people I'm "the guy who plays obscure (insert obscenities) indie games". I usually reply with something about minecraft or that I can get dozens of indie games for significantly less than ONE DLC for CODBLOPS2

I made chunks ~3 times as tall as they were before. This is looking down a huge hole from the highest voxel level all the way to the lowest. (The blackness is due to fog at night): To do this, I had to make several performance improvements. Among them was better caching of component data, getting rid of extra draw calls by doing some updates in batch order, and most notable: computing, by hand, all 782 possibilities of face + ramp + neighbor to decide which faces to draw of a given ramp block. This was probably the most hacky programming decision of my life. I literally just made a program in Processing that rendered all possible cases, and I said "t" or "f" to each one to tell it whether or not to draw a face. Processing then spat out a giant C# program that fills an array with this data. It was horrible. Horrible! Now that I think about it, this could be computed easily without using casing by just checking adjacent vertices and seeing if any of them are higher, but damnit, my hack worked!

Hooray for hacking! Anyways, that hole looks terrifying. Reminds me of falling in Minecraft. Or the mines of moria.
