Greetings!

We from Flying Pie Entertainment have been working on a project which originally started as a simple modification of the original slenderman game by Parsec. Instead of simply building a new level for the game we ended up creating a complete remake of the game.
We don't have the intention to 'steal' anything made by Parsec. We really enjoyed his game and thought it was a great concept. We did this project mostly for our own enjoyment, learning purposes and hopefully to scare the crap out of as many people as possible. Enjoy!

More info & download: http://www.flyingpie.nl/?page=slendermod

Some of the things we changed:
-Post processing effects for an old horror movie atmosphere
-A complete new environment with tons of new props and a serious graphics overhaul
-Many new sounds to mess with your head
-The code has been completely re-written and improved. Unlike the original slender game we're therefore not bound to a completely flat terrain and can use different terrain assets
-New triggers & jumpscares added. You'll have to play to find out what they are Wink

I'd love to hear what you think about it!

Cheers!

if I wanted to play Slender I would play Slender. why would I want to play a direct copy of it?

seems like a colossal waste of time to me, to remake another person's game. you would learn a lot more if you just took what you liked about Slender and made it into your own thing. and it would be immensely more interesting than a 'remake' of a game that already exists and is technically still in development.

Are you aware of 'Slender: Source' timmah? http://www.moddb.com/mods/slender-source It's a remake of slender in the half life 2 engine that will feature 4 player co-op and multiple maps  Kiss. Which will probably release in March. Just a heads up on your competition.

I'm forced to agree with allen.  What is the point of making a direct copy of the original game?  Is there anything about this that tries to go beyond the original concept?  If so you should probably focus on that a bit more in your description, because at the moment it gives me no reason to download this when I already have Slender sitting in my downloads folder.  You call it a 'mod' but what exactly does it modify?

Well, I really like the look of it (although I kinda feel like the grass int he first screenshot should be lit up). Like the others here, without knowing what's new/changed, I have no incentive to download it. I do like the gritty, grayscale style better than the original, though.

This is a valid concern. I should've added in my original post that it's not simply a remake, but has serious improvements and a lot of changes in regard to the original slender.
There's quite a large group of people waiting for something like this. I'm just hoping they like what we've done with it Wink

Thanks for taking your time to reply to my post Smiley
