haha yes yes, well mario is quite indeed a great character. i'm sure many of us here on the tigsource forums would agree with you. he is, what some would call, the godfather of the modern day platformer. many independent developers in here take a large influence on the mario character, franchise, and idea. mario is and forever will be a legend in my books, your books, and probably some actual books.

The popularity of the character of Mario, along with that of Pokémon, is ruining everything Nintendo touches now.
Instead of a new Shiren (or even a translation) we get the fifteenth Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Instead of a new Golden Sun the same team is working in Mario Tennis 5 or some bullshit.
As a rule of thumb on Nintendo systems, anything branded MARIO or POKÉMON will outsell anything that isn't.
Yes, I felt this had an entirely too positive vibe for a General thread.

no, but nintendo have the devs of it make pokémon MD instead of proper MDs
and yes they worked on every mario tennis, instead of good games
