Deity of Hostility a text based adventure by Alex Austin. http://crypticsea.com/doh.zip(Alex sent the submission in last week but never posted it in the forums, he doesn't have an account so I'm doing it for him) -Edmund

Is this... God of War... as a text-based adventure?

Played it, and it's pretty awesome. A bootleg criticism about the original even! It's awesome how it sounds like it's being told by a fratboy.

Pretty funny. I like how you used a limited parser to make fun of the game's linearity.

I liked it a lot, great critique on not just this game but many games. Although I did enjoy the original too. I also loved the frat boy narration.

I loved the criticisms you included in the game and the repetitive boss battle was brilliant (first and last time you'll ever hear that )

Never played the original, but this sort of highlights how ridiculous fighting video games usually sound if you try to tell someone about them. "And then, it was awesome!" Heh, great sense of humor.
I think this brings the text adventure count up to 3 for the compo, along with ours and the Assassin's Creed end-of-game demake?

I enjoyed this a lot. I like the way that it takes the piss out of the linear, hand-holding and quick-time-event style of God of War, while at the same time showing that this way of doing action works and can be fun, even in text.

Haha, this is great. I've never played God of War, and this game explains why.

I also really enjoyed this; as a criticism of the original game, it's spot-on. I particularly liked how it would often dispense with interaction altogether, and just tell you what you did!
