"The Little Things is a puzzle-platformer with a focus on exploration and collection. There aren't very many places you can die and the generally twitch controls are downplayed. The point of the game is to explore your world both above and below ground and collect the titular Little Things -- small living beings that can survive in tiny glass flasks and cages, which range from small insects and tiny creatures to worldly spirits and magical wisps. As a Lomite Collector, your primary task is to explore the fantastic world and collect these tiny things in their natural and unnatural environments, but along this path you'll also find yourself selling and trading them to interested buyers for specific equipment and tools, visiting strange people and places, and encouraging metamorphosis of your Little Things through animistic and alchemical means.
In short, it's Knytt meets Pokémon, without the combat."
Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.8

well i played an earlier version of this game (i think it was a pre 1.2 release) and found it not so good.
anyways...2 days ago there was released version 1.8 and i thought give it another try...
the improvements are notable and its now an ok game but still it cannot be compared to the greatness of the good old plumber.
controls are a bit slippery and some animations and graphics (the turtles) are meh...but that aside its a nice effort so far.
the fact that the developers are working and improving it and that it is a multi platform game (win, mac, linux) make it good enough to keep an eye on the further development.

an interesting fps with many similarities to metroid prime.
played this game when i first heard about it via tim
on his former indygamer blog
as far as i remember it was pretty decent...it was version 1.x or something...
today i stumbled over this game again and found out that there was released a version 2.0 called another bound neo
unfortunately the game doesnt work on my pc...
maybe it works for you...
and maybe someone know what to do to solve this issue....
anyways here is the older version another bound 1.1.8
which works on my pc.
the game is in japanese (except the menu) and therefore...well its not an easy task to follow the story line if you dont speak japanese.
according to the readme another bound neo 2.0 was released 24.01.2008.
would be interesting to know what are the differences to version 1.1.8 and whether or not this game is still in development...
a charmingly hotseat game in the vein of smash bros.
looking forward to further releases.
Indie Brawl is a multiplayer, 2-dimensional fighting game that pits some of the most famous characters from indie games against each other. The game will have simple and intuitive controls, a wide variety of characters and attacks, and fast-paced battles with platforming elements. The game should be easy to learn, but have enough depth that it's enjoyable for a broad range of players.
today i found out that the developer of the underside
is also working on an innovative multiplayer music game. 8bit music meets guitar hero. funny concept: playing a nes game while your buddy is trying to follow the music. gameplay demonstration video
What is 8BITARHERO?
8BITar Hero is basically Rock Band except with a Nintendo emulator generating the music and levels.
Gameplay levels that are procedurally generated from the act of playing a game. One person plays NES games on an emulator, others play a Rock-Band game with levels that are generated algorithmically from the audio code of the NES game. The focus here is the generative nature of the game, and the process by which the levels are created.
The highly advanced id Tech 3 engine and free indie game projecthttp://www.xreal-project.net/wordpress/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=berBJRS7Ahk
very promising project.
prealpha version available.
XreaL will be a non-commercial multiplayer only first person shooter based on a heavily modified Quake 3 Arena engine (id Tech 3). The aim is to push the rendering technology until it can be compared with current commercial titles and then to produce a playable Total Conversion.
Q: What’s the goal of XreaL?
A: XreaL will be a non-commercial free multiplayer first person shooter similar to Quake 3 Arena. XreaL will be open source software and freeware. It will be a Total Conversion and not just an enhanced Quake 3 Arena modification.
i dont know if these games are canceled or still under development (and the developers pausing working on them)
Drawn To Be AliveNON FREEWARE GAMES
ut2004 total conversionhttp://www.moddb.com/mods/drawn-to-be-alive
this game is probably canceled since the last update was about 2 years ago.
but maybe the developers will continue their project or release an unfinsihed version sometime... cause the concept was pretty epic.
Drawn to be alive' is an adventure/stealth game where the player will have the control of a character made of paper, extracted from a picture by an incredible magic Ink...
