I didn't mention Recession in my blog yet because I'm waiting for it to be alllll done.
That's pretty soon too, I'm thinking early May. Whats left to work on is just some aesthetic things, some polish and tweaking around with difficulty.

These screenshots up there though are from a more recent version, probably one I showed to a few people on the poppenkast irc room. The version on the poppenkast forums is the earliest one, made for the 4-hour competition there a few weeks ago.

http://www31.atwiki.jp/rockman8/pages/14.html

i think some of you already know that there is a fine mega man 7 demake available.

but theres also a mega man 8 demake in the making...
on the above mentioned site there are pretty much nes sprites,
but i dont know anything about the current development status cause the site is entirely in japanese.
maybe someone can understand what is written there...?
how to submit sprites?

You can also submit sprites to the above project.
Quote from: Dameon
Ok. So, I've been spending some of my time on the MM8 Fc project's website, and while I was looking around there I though, "I'd really like to submit some of my sprites here, maybe they'd like them more than the ones they already have." So after looking around for a while, I found their uploader.

I went ahead and used one of my 8-bit Roll sprites as a test. It took a while, but the sprite eventually ended up on the main site here. It's some where towards the middle of the page, maybe a bit closer to the bottom.

But yeah, It's really easy to upload a sheet. Just hit the browse button, choose your file, and upload it. The upload button should be the button in the bottom left corner of the box. There's also space to leave comments if you wish. I'd suggest just using your user name or something if you leave one. I spent a good while trying to translate what I wanted to say using Google translate, and it still came out wrong.

I wasn't entirely sure where to put this, so if any of the mods feel that this is in the wrong place, please move it to where ever you see fit.

demo of gungirl2 is out.

gungirl2 demo (33 mb)

pretty good! good controls, nice splatter effects. fun!

maybe the zombies should give more ammo...cause when you kill many to level up your weapon you will ran out of ammo pretty fast (if they arent nice enough to present you with some ammo...

I have just found out about The Blue Forest, which appears to be rather unknown as of now.

It seems to be a classic RPG in the vein of the Secret of Mana series, made using the RPG Maker XP if I didn't get that wrong. There is a 4-5 hours long demo which I haven't tried, yet, but at the very least it sure looks beautiful:

More info and the demo can be found there: http://leebleforest.wordpress.com/
On the blog it says that she hopes to release the game around the end of 2009, but I don't know if that plan is still up-to-date.

It's being developed by Laura Shigihari, a sound artist, composer, singer and apparently also not a bad graphic designer and developer Grin I actually found out about her through this cute Plants vs. Zombies music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N1_0SUGlDQ (She did the sounds and soundtrack for that game)

I don't know what it's like in the demo, but in a blog entry from December she wrote that there is going to be a combat system like the one from Chrono Trigger Smiley
