IS THERE ANYTHING THAT ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE GAME THAT MAYBE WE COULD WRITE ANOTHER DEVLOG ON?
The design and mechanics of each weapon?

IGF Finalist for Excellence in Visual Art Today we were surprised and delighted to find out that Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime was nominated as finalists for 2013 IGF Main Competition. This really means a lot to us as Matt and I both come from an animation/illustration background and it is great to be recognized along with these other great looking games. Excellence In Visual ArtIncredipede (Northway Games and Thomas Shahan) Kentucky Route Zero (Cardboard Computer) Guacamelee! (Drinkbox Studios) Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (Asteroid Base) Year Walk (Simogo)

Thanks guys, the IGF nom is super exciting (and surprising). At first I kept reloading the page to make sure it was real. @Budabunga, @Ashkin: Glad you get something out of the posts and thanks for the suggestions. Lots to do! @udderdude, @johnki: I don't think we're doing any EVA stuff anymore. Though SOME way to move an avatar around outside the ship could be fun--maybe an RC-controlled AirHogs kamikaze missile or something. Gotta look at that... @TobiasW: I know, we have a great culture in Toronto where we have a lot of opportunity to play coop indie games so it just seemed natural When we did our first jam together in 2011 there was a big crop of co-op games from other devs, while we did a versus game... so when we did the Lovers prototype at the next jam it was us catching that wave a year late.

This is the first time I've heard of this game, and it looks amazing. I love the music in the trailer from 0:19 - 0:27ish, it's so crumbly and grindy. Also, you are keeping a very informative and detailed dev log on here, which is really cool of you.
Is this gonna be local or online multiplayer? I expect that was answered somewhere, but I can't find it, sorry.

The monster design and visual effects are great. And it's so cool to see all the nifty tricks in Unity IDE.

Sweet post! Really inspiring and it looks amazing too. Can't wait to play it When putting the textures onto planes in Maya, is there a way to get the planes to retain the textures image ratio? Or did you just have to scale the plane till it just looked right? I've been using 2D Toolkit in Unity which puts in textures and images perfectly. I was just wondering if there is a nice way to do this im maya?

I got a chance to check out the game at GDC today and it's amazing, great job guys! It was cool meeting tuckertuck and chatting about the game, particularly since it's done in Unity which I'm using for our game. Very inspiring and I'm looking forward to release.
