Hi everyone,

I'm Jake G, and I just finished making what is probably my longest-in-development project to date... but mainly because I didn't work on it for ages.

It's called Jamie's Revenge 2 and it is a 16-bit style platformer featuring:
-Original Graphics
-An original soundtrack by Johan Hargne
-2 Playable Characters (and difficulty levels)
-23 Level over 7 worlds
-Hidden secrets to go back and find
-Level completion grades
-Animated Cut-scenes

If you find any bugs let me know. Please note that the latest version of Flash Player is required to view the cut-scenes. Otherwise it can be downloaded here:http://www.acoders.com/acsite/viewsoftware.php?id=181

Hope you like it!

Had a play to through the first boss, and I have to say I like it. Love all the little mechanics that it offers.  The cutscenes are the only thing I'm not too fond of, maybe some music with them would liven them up.

Thanks for the advice Smiley I did have voices recorded for them but they weren't of very good quality. I will add some music and upload a new version Smiley

It seems very nice. Why you have made the game for free? And, why your website seems from 1997? :D

Getting an error message then a crash when the game starts, even after I added the game to the DEP exception list.  I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit.

That's unusual! Someone emailed me with the same problem today. It works fine on Windows 7 computers. I haven't had that issue yet. I will look into it. I'm sorry I don't know why that is happening. Perhaps it is an MMF2 issue?

It probably is, MMF 2 is really old at this point and it doesn't surprise me it has issues on newer systems.

I'll have to try it on my Virtual Box or netbook.

Edit: Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 running XP was a bust, it loaded up a window which didn't refresh it's view contents.  I could still hear the music playing, though.

I'll have to see if I can export the game at different runtime settings for you. Maybe it's the HWA or DirectX9

@Udderdude: Do you have Microsoft Office or Internet Explorer installed on your computer?

@ACOM: Thanks :D, it is free because I begun it 5 years ago and feel I can do much more now, and would rather make people pay for software I can create NOW and use this as a showcase of what I can do! Tongue

A Flash Version is in the works to be played in the web browser. Hopefully this will fix all the issues people seem to be having.

So, here's a conundrum for the developer.

Silver City. There's like a vertical path with buttons on each side, and I can't get up to the top. The buttons do precisely jack when they're touched, or attacked, or anything like that. What should I do?

They are wall jumps. You can jump off them.
