Radioheads use of rainbow colours makes me feel very happy and want to listen to their music. Hm.. So.. Tiger wiki-raiding shall begin? Indie games will be featured on front page? "This article is part of the Sick Panda series". What next! p.s. cave story is.. a decent game

There have always been interactive experiences that go beyond entertainment. For example, if mafia games are too fun for you, then you can always join the mafia.

When you see all the shit and all the miserable people that get wikipedia pages, you can be justified to think that pixel does indeed deserve one. I mean, every minor character of star trek has a page. But everyone knows the wikipedia mods are a bunch of anal retentive idiots with illusions of grandeur.

I think you all are severly overlooking PXtone which has a huge japanese following and userbase. the piscolla community has loads of people involved that are devoted to working entirely in pxtone and there is some amazing stuff to come out of that http://piscolla.web.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-bin/ubbs/trick425.cgihttp://piscolla.web.infoseek.co.jp/other pxtone website in english is fairly large piston source http://pistonsource.iiichan.net/indexen.htmlboth english and japanese site that is devoted to the PXtone music sequencer. hes still actively working on PXtone and its a project thats garnered attention and a lot of japanese musicians. this, with cave story , and his 2 other games ika-chan and guxt are surely enough to warrant a wiki article..

Ooh, a cause!
Well, all the "notable" devs that hang around here could mention Pixel as a big influence on their sites (to be linked to from Wikipedia as evidence). You know, "Look at all these award winning developers who were influenced by Pixel." Should be enough, yeah?

I think it's about time someone go write something. If it looks serious enough and enough people support it, it shouldn't be deleted. We should mention ports of his games as support for his popularity and influence along with other games inspired by pixel. MARGINAL NOTABILITY @)#*%^(@(# that's just one ignorant person and I doubt there many more like him. this might be good for citing: http://www.tigsource.com/features/interview_pixel.html and

Yeah, and from what I can gather it's catching on over here too. I know YMM uses it now, and I'm considering learning it myself.

I see some people at in my school's design department using it as well. I was like "hey, that kinda reminds me of cavestory lolyeahright" (he was using the included CS midis in pxtone) and then I noticed him using pxtone. Funny thing is that he hadn't played CS.
pxtone is such a complete package including libraries and it looks so simple to use. I hope someone translates or properly documents pxtone for non-japanese users one of these days.

it *is* in english.
simply delete 'japanese.ico' out of the pxtone dir and its in english just like magic.
its so simple to use you can figure it out just by playing around.

Haha, well shoot me for not doing my research before opening my mouth. I just noticed the "for english.txt" file too. Thanks!

What are the advantages of PXtone, compared to a standard tracker?

Look, way I see it? Someone write up an article. Write it neatly, coherently, and well. Make sure it's informative. Give credible references if they exist. If not, no matter.
I'm sure that, if we (/a dedicated someone) really wants it up there, it will be there. They give deletion warnings for even the most absurd articles. It just needs to be done, right? And we'll take it from there.

I suggest you go give it a try yourself if you haven't already: it's very simple to use.

What confuses me is that Nifflas has his own page, and so do his other games, yet every single time someone makes a page for Within A Deep Forest, it gets deleted. I've seen it featured in quite a few major gaming publications but noooooooo.
