power came back on just now (9 days without power or heat, although we had running water). fine other than that, no flood damage (as opposed to last year with hurricane irene). i mostly spent the time reading murakami (a wild sheep chase, hard-boiled wonderland and the end of the world, blind willow sleeping woman), studying kanji, going through 13 of my saturated dreamers notebooks / notepads (making a list of things i want to work on for the game once i was able to work on it again), exercising, and eating: i actually gained about 14 lbs during those 9 days, i suspect because i was mainly eating fast food / chinese take-out / peanut butter sandwiches, so my weight went from 154 to 168 (i'm 6'3 though so that's still underweight).
